Unit 8 At Christmas

课前准备:

(1)将学生分成两组,每组一棵圣诞树贴在黑板上,

(2)准备个礼物盒,一个圣诞袜,放上一些装饰圣诞树的小图片,由第一个完成排序的同学为自己组挑选打开,根据比赛情况将里面的小东西进行对圣诞树装饰,最后比谁的圣诞树上的装饰东西多!

Leading:

(1) Today we will talk about the Christmas, do you know something about Christmas?让学生说一说自己知道的关于圣诞节的东西,若有说到课文里有需要的单词则马上呈现。分三类:食物,物品,活动黏贴板书。

(2)Good job. You know a lot about it. Today I want to tell you more about it. 揭示课题:At Christmas

设计意图:圣诞节,是孩子们非常喜欢的一个节日。但是孩子对圣诞节的了解其实只局限于现在铺天盖地的商家广告,具体了解多少内容老师也不是很清楚,通过让学生自由说一说自己所知道的圣诞节情况既让老师对学情有所掌握,又顺利点击学生的最近发展区,突出本课的主题,让学生顺利进入新内容的学习。同时在学生说的过程中,教师直接呈现一些比较简单的,学生都耳熟能详的已经知道的单词,也避免了在教授的过程中显出明知故问的现象。

At first, some Christmas food : turkey, Christmas pudding, pumpkin pies, candies and so on! I can make Christmas pudding! Look, here’s a short passage for you , please read it and remember the orders. Then please put the structures into the correct orders. The first student can help your group to choose to open the stocking or the present!

设计意图:从自由谈论圣诞节,到教师呈现更多的关于圣诞节的食物,到做圣诞节布丁,环环相扣。并在做圣诞节布丁时,从自己带着目的去阅读短文,再进行对句子排列顺序,做到朗读排列好的句子形成小短文,并解读小短文解决课文中会出现的一些单词和词组。整个导入过程环节的设计是呈现一个有梯队式的教学,从易到难,从简单的abcd的排列到first next then finally的排列,即是解决了本课贯穿全文的顺序排列,又简单易懂,方便学生了解学习。Presentation:

(1)You did a good job. Now you have a chance to choose pretty things about Christmas. Look, I have many pretty things about Christmas, which one would you like? 学生根据短文进行排序。第一个完成的同学可以自由选择一样东西贴在黑板上。

设计意图:学生排序,第一个完成的同学可以为本组选择打开礼物还是圣诞袜,这是一种激励形式,同时打开圣诞袜引出pretty things的学习以及句型put…on/under…的初步呈现,从老师的动作上学生可以很容易了解新的句型含义。再由这些圣诞物品来装扮圣诞树导入课文中Mike一家是什么时候来装扮圣诞树的进行课文的整体呈现。并通过日历的呈现来区别平安夜与圣诞日,让学生有个清晰的了解。

(4) Before Christmas Eve, we dress up the Christmas tree, so we should buy things for it. Now let’s read the text and match the activities according to the text.

设计意图:从了解了什么时候装饰圣诞树,到平安夜到了,再到圣诞节当天,我们去做什么事情。这样的过渡是比较自然流畅的。学生自读课文,通过连线来进行对课文简单了解是学生能够做到的,同时也将课文分成三段进行切割讲解。

Consolidation:

(1)Christmas is popular in Western countries. Now please retell the holiday according the words and the structures. 根据板书复述课文

(2) Mid-autumn Festival is popular in China. Can you say something about it? These words and phrases can help you. Please write down.

设计意图:圣诞节是西方国家比较流行的节日,学生通过对课文的理解应该能够对这个节日进行简单的叙述性的描述。而中秋节是中国比较流行的节日,学生对这个节日比较熟悉,而且也有话可说,买月饼送月饼,吃中秋团圆饭,饭后赏月吃月饼,也是有一个顺序,这样就比较容易说,给出学生在写的时候需要的东西,需要的动词词组,让学生进行对中秋节的介绍更具有可以操作性。Homework:

1.跟读课文并朗读熟练;

2.抄写文中的单词并背熟。
