一、教材分析

这是本单元的第三课时。Let’s learn为与本课主题相关的口语交际练习。Read and write为短文阅读，通过展示Sarah’s diary来介绍Sarah’s cat has two kittens. 结合日期的表达进行信息整合，以此拓展学习问答重点on+具体到某天日期的表达法。

二、学情分析

在五年级下册Unit3中，学生已经学习过月份的单词和某些节日的表达方式，本节课将在此基础上学习如何询问并回答某节日的具体日期。

三、教学目标

1. 能够在图片的帮助下读懂日记，并根据日记内容完成连线活动。

2. 能够根据日记内容，仿照例句，写出两个描述小猫生长状态的句子。

3. 检测部分要求学生能够熟练地听、说、读、写本单元对话板块的核心句型；能够听、说、读、写词汇板块的所有单词。

4. 能够在教师的帮助下总结基数词及序数词的用法，并完成相应练习。

5. 培养学生热爱生活，感恩生活的情感。

四、教学重难点

1. 重点：在情景中运用句型When is …? It’s on … 询问并对某天举行或发生某个活动的陈述句表达。

2. 难点：April及序数词的发音。

五、教学过程

Step 1: Warm-up 1. Free talk 2. 学生齐唱放五年级下册Unit3歌曲The twelve months. 3. Games: sharp eyes，复习月份类单词及其缩写形式。

Step 2：Presentation 1. Let’s try

(1) 教师出示Let’s wrap it up部分，请学生复习基数词、序数词的表达法。
