Teaching aims and learning objectives 教学目标

(一)知识目标

1. 能正确的听、说、读单词和词组:student, classroom, computer room, library, music room, table tennis room , art room, on the first/second/third floor。

2. 能正常运用日常交际用语:Can you show her around? How many ...are there...? There is/are ...Is there a ...? Yes, there is./No, there isn’t. Are there any...? Yes, there are./No, there aren’t.

1. 能理解对话内容,朗读对话。

2. 培养学生的综合语言运用能力,让学生能用本单元的句型询问和交流自己学校的情况。(三)策略目标

通过情境创设的方式,培养学生自主合作的能力。

1. 在生动的情境中学习新的语言知识,培养学生英语学习的兴趣。

教学重点

1. 学习有关学校房间类的单词和短语:student, classroom, computer room, library, music room, table tennis room , art room, on the first/second/third floor。

3. 能理解对话内容,朗读对话。

教学难点

本课的难点是运用本节课所学到的单词短语及句型来询问和交流学校的情况,老师要在学生交流的过程中给出句型结构。

Step 1 Lead-in

1.Free talk

T: Good morning, boys and girls.Welcome to our class. Welcome to our classroom.Look around, what’s in our classroom?

Ss: There is/are ...

There are some students in our classroom.

【设计意图】通过自由谈话的方式迅速带领学生进入英语学习的氛围,集中学生的注意力,并且通过Welcome to our classroom.这句话引出新单词classroom,并用What’s in our classroom?这个问题复习上个单元的句型知识并引出新单词student。

Step 2 Story time

1.Meet a new student: Nancy Black.

A new student—Nancy Black.

Nancy Black: Hi, I’m Nancy Black. I’m a new student. Nice to meet you.

Nancy wants to know about her new school. Can you show her around?

【设计意图】根据Free talk中引出的student这一单词,介绍Story time中的新人物Nancy Black。让学生和Nancy互相打招呼,引导学生带Nancy参观杨玲的学校,使Story time中的情境更亲切、生活化,并进行词组show...around的教学。用带新生参观校园的过程,体现和渗透学生热爱学校,与新同学友好相处等积极情感价值观的教育。

2.Let’s show her around.

【设计意图】通过第一步Think and guess猜测杨玲的学校中有什么,引出本课要讨论的主题——学校中的不同教室。第二步Watch and find带着问题仔细观察动画,找出动画中提到的教室并进行教学。学校中的教室和学科有关,学生在四年级已经学习过学科类单词,老师教学时要提醒学生观察教室和学科的关系和单词词组的拼写。第三步Talk about classrooms中请学生先猜测Nancy可能会提出的问题,教学句型How many...are there...?There is/are...和词组on the first/second/third floor。在教学楼层词组时,老师可以适当扩充英美楼层的不同说法,作为简单文化渗透。在第四和第五步中,学生通过回答Nancy提出的问题进一步学习教

室和楼层的英文形式,并学习新句型Is there a ...? Yes, there is./No, there isn’t. Are there any...? Yes, there are./No, there aren’t.让学生在生动的情境中不断思考学习。

【设计意图】先通过录音跟读,正确朗读生词并模仿语音语调,再小组内自由选择方式朗读,体现学生的自主合作。

【设计意图】在阅读完Story time的对话后,请学生四人小组进行合作,一人扮演Nancy接受其他三人扮演的记者的采访。这一步可以结合书上第18页的练习,记者一边提问,一边完成18页上的选择。采访结束后,请小组内记者一人一句介绍Nancy的新学校,体现课堂教学的合作。

一星:能介绍自己喜欢的教室。

二星:能介绍教学楼中的教室。

三星:能介绍教学楼中的教室和学校的其他设施。

【设计意图】介绍完Nancy的新学校后,请学生继续小组合作介绍自己的学校,将语言知识运用到生活情境中去的同时,也培养了学生的观察能力。老师在PPT中呈现可以使用的句型,

提示学生如何介绍,并在旁边给出评价方式,评价方式中也出示了学生可以讨论的有关学校的内容。
