Steps Step 1 Lead in Let students look at the picture, then talk about him like that: Who is he? He is William Shakespeare. Was he a writer? Yes, he was. He was a famous English writer of plays and poems. Lead to today’s topic: William Shakespeare. Step 2 Pre-reading 1.

Work in pairs. Let students listen to the passage and decide what William Shakespeare wrote.
