教学目标

Knowledge & ability: 1. To master some new words and useful expressions. Key vocabulary: lost and found office; leave hundreds of; two thousand 2. To learn the use of the possesive pronouns. 3. To familiarize with the reading strategies such as skimming key words to grasp the main idea. 4. To describe the lost and found things in speaking and writing. Process & methods: Students work in groups to communicate. Through speaking and reading, help the students to write notes for the lost and found things. 1、教材分析:本课是初一下册第一模块第二单元,课本从实际生活出发,设计课文内容,难易适中,能为学生将来的实际应用打好基础。

2、学情分析:大部分学生对英语很感兴趣,学习热情较高,有学习英语的愿望和兴趣,能乐于参与各种英语实践活动。

4.1 教学设计

4.1.1课程设计

Procedures Step1 Lead –in Teacher’s Activities: Play an English song<> for the students before the class. Students’

activities: Just enjoy and sing the beautiful song together. Intention: Communicate with the students and lead in the new lesson.

Procedures Step 2 Reading Pre-reading: Teacher’s Activities: Review the new words by watching a video. Students’

activities: Watching the video and review the new words. And then complete a short passage with the new words.

Intention: Review the new vocabulary. Prepare for the reading . While-reading Teacher’s Activities: (1)First reading: help the students to match the paragraphs with the main idea. Students’

activities: (1)Individual work: Read the passage as quickly as they can and match the paragraphs with the pictures. Intention: Help students to grasp the main idea of each paragraph.

Teacher’s Activities: (2) Second reading: Read the first paragraph carefully and answer the questions. Students’

activities: (2) Pair work: Talk about the questions in pairs. Intention: Help the students to understand the meaning of the word " leave ".

Teacher’s Activities:

(3)Third reading: Read the second paragraph carefully and check the true sentences. Students’

activities: (3) pair work: Check the true sentences and pay attention to the usage of "hundred and thousand" in the sentences. Intention: Help the students to know how to use "hundred and thousand".

Teacher’s Activities: (4)Fourth reading: Read the third paragraph carefully and complete a short passage. Students’

activities: (4)Pair work: Finish the short passage together. Practice the possessive pronouns by making a dialogue. Intention: Help the students to grasp the possessive pronouns.

Teacher’s Activities: (5)Watch the flash about the text and then read it aloud. Students’

activities: (5)Pair work: Read aloud in groups. Intention:

Help the students to prepare for retelling the text.

Post-reading Teacher’s Activities: Ask the students to retell the text and finish activity 3. Students’

activities: Retell the text in groups and act out in class. Finish the short passage about the text together. Intention: Examine if the students have understood the passage.

Step3 Writing Teacher’s Activities: Guide the students to write notes for the lost and found things . Students’

activities: Students complete the notes in pairs. And then put them in the right column .Some of the students are chosen to talk about the notes in class. Intention: Enable the students to use what has been learnt. Teach the students to be helpful.

Homework designing: 1. Read the passage at least three times. 2. Write your own lost and found notes.

Effect &reflection: Pay more attention to the students’

pronounciation and the mistakes they made.
