教学目标：

Language focus :

1.Teaching the new words: matter, can, can’t, colour, black, blue, green, white, rainbow, purple, violet…; 2. To teach the new sentences: What colour is your ball? It’s red and white.

Developing aim：1. using predicative adjectives of colour to describe objects;

2. Asking wh-questions to find out various kind of information about an object. Ability aims and emotion aims：Devotion to and pursuit of the beautiful; sensitivity to artistic beauty and refined taste. 教学重点：

1. To recognize the names of different colours.

2. Asking wh-questions to find out various kind of information about an object.

教学难点：

To recognize the colours of the rainbow and the order of the colours.

1. Student's book 3B. 2. The tape and a recorder. 3. Pictures.

教学过程：

Ⅰ.Pre-task preparation. Warming up.

1) Ask students what colours they like, then let them talk about their partner’s favourite colours. 2) CAI shows the rainbow. Talk about the colours of rainbow, to elicit the new words of colours.

Ⅱ.While-task procedure. 1. Look and learn. 1) Talk about the rainbow, to elicit the new words of colours.

2) Show the new words, read after the recording. Teach them the seven colours of the rainbow. 3) Show the colours and say the words. 2. Sing a song.

1) Show the rainbow, and talk about ‘what colours can you see? ’

2) Listen and try to sing the song.

设计意图：

Free talk帮助学生适应英语语感，自然而然地进入学习状态。

通过采用多媒体显示彩虹，将学习内容巧妙引出，对学生进行视觉刺激,能激发学生的学习兴趣和求知欲。
