Unit 4 Postman and policeman 一、单元分析

本单元以“职业”为主题,主要涉及五种常见男性职业。在本单元学习中,学生将接触三个行动指令,如turn left/right. Follow me。并且学习五种职业并且对他人进行职业描述,如He is a postman. 同时还将学习人物特征的描述词,如tall, short.以及一首关于职业的歌曲。通过本单元的学习,学生能够准确的听、说、认读本单元职业类单词postman, policeman, milkman, fireman, driver并且能够使用陈述句式表达

“He is a ...”来描述他人职业、用一般疑问句式“Is he a ...?”来询问确定让人职业。

二、教学设计

Lesson 1 Let’s learn& Let’s play Class profile

Ss have learned “he” and “she” last semester so it’s easy for them to tell the difference between he and she. The sentence pattern “He is a ...”

is simple for them to grasp. But it may a little hard for them to distinguish postman and policeman clearly and “milkman” is hard to pronounce. Contents postman, policeman, milkman, fireman, driver He is a .... Aims To listen, speak, identify the new words postman, policeman, milkman, fireman, driver correctly and clearly; To apply the new words to the sentence pattern to make more sentences. Teaching procedures 1.

Greeting + Warm up

(1)

T greets ss with saying “How are you, children?” while ss respond with saying “I am fine, thank you.” or “very well, and you?”

T plays the video of the song on P21. Ss watch and try to follow. 2.

Presentation (1)

T leads ss to revise “he” and “she”. (2)

T shows a picture on which there are shadows of 5 and tells ss

they are her uncles or brothers. T numbered these shadows from 1 to 5 and ss choose one of them and T will introduce him. (3)

No.1 is T’s uncle Tom. T will tell ss that her uncle Tom works at the post office and his job is to send letters and then tells ss he is a postman. (4)

No.2 is T’s uncle Tim. T tells ss once there is a fire and people call 119 and uncle Tim will come because he is a fireman. (5)

No.3 is T’s brother Sam. T tells ss his brother Sam’s job is to drive a car so he is a driver. (6)

No.4 is T’s brother Mike. T tells ss brother Mike works at the police station so he is a policeman. and No.5 is T’s uncle Jack. T tells ss his job is to deliver milk so he is a milkman.

After introducing all the uncles and brothers, T leads ss to revise what are her uncles and brother again.

Practice (1)

T says the words and encourage ss to mime; T writes down the words and invites ss to put the flashcard below it correctly. (2)

Listen and point. T puts all flashcards on the blackboard and say one of them. Ss listen and point to the correct one. (3)

Listen and number. T plays the audio and ss listen and number on P19. (4)

Bomb game. T sets a word as the bomb and point to words randomly. Ss read out the word T point but when meet the bomb word they should be quiet or the bomb will explode. (5)

T shows a table on which there are many pictures and each of them hiding a secret point. Ss say the correct sentence can get the point for their team.

T leads ss to finish the exercise on book P20 and workbook P13. 4.

Production (1)

T leads ss to finish the exercise on book P20 and workbook P13. (2 ) Ss work in pairs and try to introduce the person on P19 to each other. 5.
