Unit 4 Postman and policeman 教学目标: 1.
学生能够认识不同职业的表达:policeman、postman、fireman、driver、milkman;在用He is a …表述人物职业的基础上,学会一般疑问句Is he a …?
2. 学生能够使用句型Is he a …?,并能进行简单的Yes或No回答。
3. 通过学生之间的问答,培养学生的语言交际能力。
教学重点:He is a ... 教学难点:句子的分辨。
四.教具准备:十字路口卡片、信、火卡片、一瓶牛奶、汽车卡片车。
五.教学过程
Step I warming up Say hello to students and talk about jobs. Step II Let’s learn 1.
Look and guess Show a hat of policeman and ask who wears this hat? 2.
Learn the new word: policeman Ask students to read the word one by one. 3.
The same way to learn fireman. 4.
Create situations:Who can help you?
(1)When you find your home are on fire. (2)When you find someone break into your home. Ask students to contact with life and learn how to deal with emergency. 5.
The same way to learn postman. 6.
Show a picture of a milkman with a bag and ask is he a postman? Ask students to distinguish people from different professions. And then learn the new word: milkman. 7.
Show a picture of a driver whit suit and ask is he a policeman? And then learn the new word: driver. Step III Presentation 1.
Play a guess game (1)
Cover the picture of five kinds of people and ask students to guess who they are. (2)
Read new words in “shout and whisper”. 2.
Play the what’s missing game. Step IV.
Practice 1.
Show the picture of a police and ask”Is he a postman?” Ask students try to answer”No, he isn’t. He is a policeman.”

Show the picture of a postman and ask”Is he a postman?”
Ask students try to answer”Yes, he is. ”
3.
Ask students practice the conversation in pairs. And then ask students to come to the front to act. 4.
Sentence practice He is a .....(policeman/postman/fireman...) Review the new words what have learned. Step V.
Conclusion Summarize the words and sentences what we learned in this section. Step VI.

Read the text on page 18. 2.
