I. Teaching Analysis 1.Material Analysis

This is a lesson which is related to writing personalities. Writing course is always hard for teachers, as there are many sentence patterns to explain. But this lesson link the writing with pictures and music, making it possible for students to get interested and involved in. 2. Students’ Analysis

“Personality” is what the students are interested in. But maybe students will get afraid when they think of writing an essay or maybe they will be confused when they see the title . They have feared to write for a long time because of the long and puzzling sentences. I just want to change their views on writing. I want them to know that writing can also be interesting and attractive, and it can also be closer to students’ life. II. Objectives After learning the lesson, the students will be able to: 1. enrich their knowledge.

(1) Learn some adjectives to describe “personality”. (2) Learn to write an essay about personalities.

2. cultivate their thinking quality and key competencies. (1) Work out the structure of an essay. (2) Learn how to arrange thesis statement and topic sentence. (3) Figure out the ways to summarize, to solve and to create. 3. improve their life attitude. (1) Cultivate positive attitudes towards life. (2) Get the inspiration from the encouraging personalities. III. Important points and difficult points. (1) Get the specific information from the given passage.
