Teaching procedures and ways Step 1: warming-up

Greeting as usual. 2.

Do some small talks with students.

Topic 1 T: What lesson did you have before this English lesson? (for the whole class) T: Do you have a good time in maths/ physics lesson? Why?(for the whole class) T: Compared with English lesson, which one do you like best? Why? (for some individuals) T: Which subject do you like best among all the subjects? (for the whole class)

2. come into the activity 1 in students’ books at page . ask students to read and match the conversation with the places . after finish it, students check their answers with their partners and the follow the teacher to check their answers and find the supporting information. (意图说明：通过学生所做的small talk，学生听并猜出对话发生的场合，引入到课本活动一里的对话可能发生的地点的猜测，继而进一步引入到本节课的授课内容:听力前的预测。活动设置层层递进，衔接紧密、自然。) Step 3.while-listening 1.

Predict before listening. Teach students how to make prediction before listening:

(1) predict something about place, relationship and topic by going through the questions and answers.

(2)predict and guess which word may appear in the listening material by showing some related words on the PPT. (意图说明：此环节是为了让学生明确本节课的学习目标：通过听力训练来培养听力预测技巧以及如何进行听前预测。)

2. Come into the listening part and finish

give the first listening task: listen to the dialogue and answer four questions. Students need to go through the questions and guess what they will listen to and predict the answers to each question by using the listening skills. 1).Where are they?

Before students listen to the dialogue, the teacher need check their prediction by collecting their reasons for predicting.

Catch the detail information to fill blacks in the whole listening material , aiming at practicing the ability of take notes of key words and key information. And then check students answers and pass the skills about how to write down some long information in a short time. （意图说明：通过3个听力任务的训练，让学生掌握听前预测的方法和获取关键信息词及快速记录信息的方法。）

Step4. Post-listening. 1.Practice listening and pronouncing. Play the recording again and ask students to follow it to imitate the pronunciation. 2.Learn some points. Show some sentences from the listening material on PPT and ask students to learn some key words , expressions and some grammars. Have you taken language course? I couldn’t hear what you said.

I didn’t catch what you said.

Could you repeat what you said? You must be very excited. You needn’t have spoken so slowly.

I just needed a few seconds to get used to your voice.
