Step1 Leading-in T: Not everyone has good social skills, today we’ll learn a new passage which tells us some useful social skills. Ss Listen to the teacher. T leads in the text and writes the title on the blackboard. Step2 Revision Reviewing some words related to the passage.

Ss read the words together. T corrects their pronunciation. Step3 Reading Task1:Skimming 1.What’s the main idea of the passage? 2.Conclude the structure of the passage.

Ss read the text quickly and find out the main idea of the text by skimming. Task2:Scanning 1.Complete the chart. 2.Do a relaxing activity. Ss do careful reading, finish the exercise by scanning. T guides ss to finish this part. Step4 Language points Ss listen to the teacher, translate some sentences and take notes.
