2 通过标志词来精确定位文章的中心句教学过程

1. Let students think about what questions are about main idea. 2. Let students guess the main idea of the whole passage by reading the first paragraphs 3. Let students skim the whole passages and check their answers. 4. Lead students summarize the technique of getting the main idea of the whole passage—locate the topic sentence by analyzing the types of writing (the topic sentence is usually at the beginning of a passage in an

argumentation/news report/exposition, but the topic sentence of a narration may be everywhere. ) 5.Give students an example of marker word in a paragraph and lead them to identify the marker words of other paragraphs. 6. Let students finish the exercise—underline the topic

sentence and circle the marker word.

7. Lead students to check their answers. 8.Guide the students to summarize what kind of words can be the marker words in a paragraph(for example but, yet, therefore, in short etc). 9. Let students finish another exercise using the techniques they learned today. 10. Let students have a review of the reading strategies we have learned today and give students some other suggestions on reading comprehension.
