Teaching procedure: Step one: Revision Firstly, have a revision to review some important words and phrases and show some pictures to attract students’ attention and lead in the question: what do you want to be after graduation? Ask Ss to answer the question. 1. hopefully that sth good or exciting will happen. (expectantly) 2. relating to relationships between people (interpersonal) 3. making sb feel nervous or worried.(unsettling) 4. drop into （顺便拜访）

5. be faced with (面对) Step Two: Warming-up and Pre-Reading Show some pictures and ask students several questions Question one: Why do you want to take up the job? Question two: Do you think whether the job is suitable for her? Give your reasons. Step Three: While- Reading (一) Fast- Reading

Get students to read the whole passage with three questions on the screen. Q1: Why was the meeting rather unsettling? Q2: What did Dr Wang do to solve Liang Yu’s problem? Q3: What’s the main the idea of the passage?

(二) Detailed Reading

Read the paragraph 2-3 and finish the True or False questions 1. Liang Yu looked through the questionnaire without interest. (F) 2.
