一、教材分析

Culture 1的话题是有关健康和地球的环保.

涉及的内容是学生在日常生活中经常讨论的话题—如何保持健康,如何保护地球,话题贴近真实生活。

二、学生分析

本节课是第一课时,前面几个单元学生已经掌握了一些有关如何保持健康的信息。学生通过阅读充分的语言材料,了解到空气和周边环境对健康的重要性,同时认识到地球的变化,加强环保意识。

三、设计理念

《英语课程标准》强调从学生的学习爱好、生活经验和认知水平出发, 倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流的学习方式,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。因此,本节课的教学紧紧围绕这一教学理念而设计,

注重学生情感态度、价值观的培养, 注重语言的实践性和交际性, 营造比较真实的语言环境, 力求通过一系列的教学活动, 引导学生积极参与、亲身实践, 在活动中不断体验语言、习得语言、运用语言, 最终达到教学目标。

四、学习目标

1.语言知识目标:

(1) 能理解掌握并熟练本单元关于环保主题的重点词汇:earth, air, dirty air, smoke, dirty water, wastes, land, a can, plastic bags, traffic jam, throw, spit, save. (2)理解和运用含有Please, Don’t 的祈使句和don’t like…or…句型。

2.语言技能目标:

(1)能够在教师的帮助下,理解环境变化给人们带来的变化。

(2)能够根据提示,对改善环境提出建设性的合理建议,培养学生解决问题的能力。

3.学习策略目标:通过自主学习、合作学习、小组讨论等方式,让学生感受自主学习的乐趣,培养与人沟通合作的能力,并学会合作学习的策略。

4.情感态度目标:激发学生对大自然优美环境的向往,培养学生热爱地球,珍惜拥有,更好地保护环境的情怀。

5.文化意识目标:提升学生环保意识,让其能向更多的身边人宣传“保护环境,从我做起”的意义和方法。

五、本单元重点、难点: 重点:(1)学习新单词:earth, air, dirty air, smoke, wastes, land, save, spit,throw (2)学习重点句型:We don’t like…or… Don’t … Please…

(3)让学生了解人们如何污染环境,并体会环境变化带给人们生活的影响。

难点:(1) 拓展新词:recycle

(2) 让学生对改善环境提出有建设性的建议。

六、课前准备:

ppt,单词卡片,句子卡片,学生使用练习纸等等。

七、教学过程

Step 1.Warming up 1.Free talk: T: How are you today? What’s the weather like today? (It’s sunny and hot.)

T:Yeah. It’s a sunny day. It makes me feel good. Are you happy today? T: We are all happy. But she isn’t happy. (PPT 地球难过的画面) Who’s she? S1: She’s our Earth. / She’s the Earth.(板书) T: Why is she sad? How can we make it happy? Let’s learn Culture 1 Health and Our Earth. (读课题)

【设计意图:通过师生的日常问候,让学生快速进入英语学习的状态,通过观察地球妈妈的面部表情变化,引起学生学习的兴趣。】

Step 2 Presentation

1.Talk about the Earth.(PPT) T: Boys and girls, where do we live on? (We live on the Earth.) Yes.She’s our mother Earth. But she is sad now. Why is she sad? Let’s talk to her. (打卫星电话,跟地球对话) T: Why is she sad? ( She doesn’t like dirty air or dirty water.) What’s our Earth like now? Let’s know more about her. (Take out your paper for preparation) 2.Task1: Can you read? Look, read and check the words. (学生两人一组,解决单词发音)

出现的新单词,短语和句子,通过第一次两人小组,完成看图填词的练习任务,让学生带着校对的任务听录音,培养学生以听来获取关键信息的技巧,同时让学生整体理解语篇,为文章更深层次的阅读打下较好的基础,检查学生回答问题的能力。】

Step 3 Practice 1.

Talk about the Earth. T: What’s the Earth like now? ( It’s dirty and unhealthy.) What should we do to make the Earth clean and healthy? 2.

Think and answer: Do you throw trash on the floor/ in the bin? Do you clean up the trash? Do you spit? Do you save water/ waste water? Do you plant trees every day? 3.

Make a survey in group. Read and check
