教材分析：

本课是义务教育课程标准试验教科书开心学英语四年级下册Unit 3 Bank or Beach?中的第二课时，本课通过创设情境，让学生在轻松愉快的环境中表达语言，感受语言，理解语言，从而学习语言。通过本课的学习，学生懂得和运用地方名词并能够询问别人打算去哪里？

学情分析：

四年级的学生有一定的基础，对英语学习有着浓厚的兴趣，并有较强的好奇心，活泼好动，有较强的模仿能力和交际运用能力，乐于表达自己，渴望得到老师和同学的赞许，但是英语的听读能力还有待于加强。
