Lesson Design (Lesson 2)

Students analysis Grade 3 students are 9-10 years old on average. They are full of curiosity, energy and eager to act. And they like learning by cooperating. Moreover, they have learned about some words about colors and some sentence structures.And they have learned some words about body parts(ear, eye, nose, mouth face etc). Thus they can understand and respond to the teacher’s simple instructions with the help of pictures, recordings and body languages. Yet, they have short attention span,

lack cultural awareness

and opportunities to explore

something new

even poor at abstract thinking. Therefore, there will be different kinds of activities to facilitate the students to develop

critical and creative thinking skills.



To recognize the meaning of the words (neck, tail, wings, cute and scary) 

To understand and apply the sentence structure (Look at that… It’s so… It has …It can …)to describe the animals flexible 
