一、学情分析

小学六年级的学生已经很熟悉以日常对话为主的课文, 但对于以语篇为主的教学内容却感觉很难。由于本课主要涉及元旦，春节这2个传统节日，学生们不仅熟悉并且易于理解本文。但由于本课中出现了部分新词以及短语，因此教师借助图片以及视频等方式帮学生解决这些困难。阅读语篇也需要学生具备一定的语篇阅读以及归纳能力，但本班学生在这方面有所欠缺。所以在正课之前教师留了读课文，读单词的预习作业，以期帮助学生较快理解文本。

二、教学目标

知识与技能:

1.能听说读写四会单词back，their，January和February。

2.能听说读三会短语

the first month of the year, the second month of the year, New Year’s Day, and Spring Festival。

3.能运用本课的句子简单描述元旦和春节。

过程与方法:

1.利用音频，视频，图片，思维导图等多种手段帮助学生理解语篇。

2.创设情境，运用小组合作的方式并结合本课的重点内容来完成本节课的学习目标。

三、教学重难点
