Teaching design:

I preparation

1.Greetings: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you? Divide ss into four groups,number one will be the winner.(use picture to explain the meaning)

2. Warm-up:

Now let’s watch a video, remember as more as you can . II presentation

1. a.Show a picture of a buffalo, T asks ss: “Can the buffalo run?”

Show a picture of the hare, T asks ss: “Can the hare run?”

T: “Yes, it can. It can run fast”.(use action to show fast) b.Show a picture of a tortoise, T ask ss: “Can the tortoise run fast?”

T: “No, it can’t.” It is slow.(use action to show slow) Show wrong sentences “ It can run slow.” Let ss know be slow.

c.Show pictures of horse and snail, Let ss say sentence: “The horse can run fast. The snail can’t run fast, the snail is slow.”

d.Show picture of Sam and Amy, T asks: “ Who can run fast? Amy or Sam?”

Watch the video and answer.

2.a.Show a picture of kangaroo. T asks ss: “Can a kangaroo run?”“No, a kangaroo can’t run.” Show another picture of kangaroo jumping on the grass. “But a kangaroo can jump,

and it can jump very far.” (use action to show far.)

b. Jump on the blackboard.(several groups of ss)(Let ss understand the meaning of jump far)

c. Show picture of Sam and Amy, T asks: “Who can jump far?

Amy or Sam?”

Watch the video and answer.

3. Listen and imitate.

Read after the video.( group by group, two by two, boys and girls)

III practice.

a.Say a chant.

Fast, fast, I can run fast.

Far, far,I can’t jump far.

Run fast, jump far,

One two go!

Say the chant with music.

b.Show pictures of sports, when they meet red square, say the sports loudly, clap hands, stamp feet.

IV There are six envelopes ,ss chose and say “ I can…. I can’t….”

Show pictures of animals ,the elephant can’t fly, but it can stamp. Every man has his strong and weak points, so try to find your strong points and overcome your weak points,

you will become better and better.

V Homework
