Step One

Warm-up 1.

Greetings. 2.

Oral practice. T: I’m very happy to see you again. How was your holiday? (Learn the word: was) Did you enjoy yourselves? (New word: did) My holiday was fantastic.(New word: fantastic) I went to Hainan with my parents. We had a good time. What about you? 3.

Invite some students to say something about their holiday. It was wonderful./fantastic/ interesting/just so so.

Step Two

Presentation and practice 1.

T: I think you all had a wonderful holiday. Let’s listen to the tape. What was Kate’s holiday? 2.

Play the tape. Students listen.

Listen again and have a look at the book. 4.

Learn the new words: fantastic, went, did, visit, saw, coconut. 5.

Answer the questions:

How was Kate’s holiday? Where did she go? Did they have a good time? 意图

What did he do on the eve of the spring Festival? What did he eat? Does he like jioazi? Does he like the Spring Festival? 4.

Students read the diary. Then let them say something about themselves. Describe their own holidays.
