Teaching Aim：

At the end of the class

1 students will know the basic structure of the subjunctive mood. 2.Students will write a poem using the subjunctive mood.

Activity One：Enjoy the music together. 播放英剧唐顿庄园插曲视频，带学生理解歌词。让学生找出歌词中的虚拟语气用法（用音乐导入所学的主题，给学生提供真实的语境。）

If you were the only girl in the world Sometimes when I feel bad

心潮低落

And things look blue

愁云笼罩

I wish a pal I

had

只盼佳人如卿

Say one like you

相伴左右

Someone within my heart 待与心上佳人

Activity two: distinguish the sentences 让学生分辨出真实条件句和非真实条件句，在真实语境下体会虚拟语气。（学生自主探究学习）

Unreal conditional sentences describe unreal, imaginary situations. (untrue, wish)

Real conditional sentences describe real-life , possible situations.(true, facts)

1. If I were a bird, I could fly to the south in winter.

2. If you don’t eat any food, you will go hungry.

3. If Dad had a lot of money, he would buy a sports car.

4. If water boils, it turns to steam.

Activity Three: Translate the poems 让学生以小组的形式翻译以下的带有虚拟语气的外国经典诗词，体会虚拟语气的应用环境。（小组互动式学习）

Activity Four: summarize 以小组的形式，让学生根据所翻译的诗词，总结出虚拟语气的三种形式的公式。并且到黑板前面展示。（让学生自主探究）

Activity Five : A game with your partner 采取接龙游戏的形式，让小组同学用虚拟语气每人造一个句子。（巩固虚拟公式的应用）

Activity Six: Consolidation

以小组的形式完成一个诗歌海报的创作。每个小组选一个主题，每人写一个虚拟语气的句子，共同完成一首诗歌的创作。（让学生体验真正学以致用）

老师写的范例诗歌，让学生仿制。

You can choose to be anyone or anything you like: an actor, a soldier, a champion, a looser, a doctor, a hunter even, if you want , a forest or a bid…

Think about what you may experience, and use a poem to talk about your experiences.
