Analysis of the teaching materials This reading passage is the first reading passage of Module5 Book6, which is targeted at senior 2 students. The topic is Frankenstein’ s monster indicating the attractiveness of horror films. The content is about Frankenstein and the monster he created. How to have a good understanding of the story through some detailed information are very important. Analysis of the target students Students are from senior 2 who have a comparatively higher level of English. They are expected to think and talk in English fluently but still need to be trained to think critically and logically. Teaching aims: 1.

Enable the students to talk about the novel and film Frankenstein. 2.

Train students to think critically and logically; 3.

Train students’ reading skills; 4.

Enlarge students vocabulary about music，like musician, musical instruments,etc. 5.
