Teaching aims and learning objectives 教学目标

1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词:meat, potatoes, tomatoes, vegetables, look for, love.

2. 能听懂、会读、会说现在进行时态的疑问句:Are you doing …?Yes, I am./No, I’m not.How’s the meat/soup/…?及正确回答It’s yummy/nice.

3. 能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导下尝试复述课文内容。

4. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人正在做的事情。

教学重点:

3. 能正确理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

教学难点:

1. 菜名的朗读是本课词汇的难点,教师可以通过多样的图片让学生感知后学习。

2. 现在进行时一般疑问句的准确掌握。

Step 1 Lead-in

Enjoy a song:《Vegetable Song》

T: What’s the song about? (出示歌曲中的蔬菜图片,引出potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, corn, cabbages, beans, vegetables初步感知本课词汇)

Step 2 Presentation

1.Task 1 Watch and choose.

What are they cooking?

A. tomato soup B. chicken with potatoes C. meat with potatoes

Look and learn (教学meat with potatoes, tomato soup)

2. Play a game.

3. Task 2 Watch and answer (the first paragraph)

What are Liu Tao’s parents doing?

Is Mrs Liu cooking meat?

4. Task 3 Listen and answer (the second paragraph)

What is Liu Tao doing? Let’s read the second paragraph and answer the questions. S: Liu Tao is looking for some juice in the fridge. (教学look for)

T: What’s in the fridge?

S1: There is some juice.

S2: There are some tomatoes.

T:Can you write some sentences with‘There is…There are…’

5. Task 4 Read and answer (the third paragraph)

T: (出示文本图片) Look! Dinner is ready. What are they doing?

S: Liu Tao and his parents are having their dinner.

T: Please read the text by yourselves. And try to answer the questions.
