Pets 教案

Teaching aims: 1. The pupils learn to use: budgie, hamster, (Julia’s) (cat) is (black and white). 2. The pupils can find the correct pets by listening.

3. The pupils can talk and write about these children’s pets.

Important points: Learn to use: budgie, hamster, Julia’s cat is white and brown.

Difficult points: Talk and write about these children’s pets by using the sentence.

Teaching tools: Cards of pets, coins, multimedia.

Teaching procedures: Step

1: 1.

Greetings. Say the chant: Have you got a pet? 2.

Play a game: ask one pupil to act pets, others guess. 3.

T: Today we will continue to learn Unit4 Pets. Write and lead the pupils to read. Step 2: 1.

Guessing game: show a picture of a zoo, guess where are the pets living according to pictures and sounds. ( frog, dog, cat, rabbit, fish, mouse.) 2.

Listen to the hamster’s sound and ask the pupils to guess, teach

hamster, spell and read together. 3.

Do the same to the word budgie, listen, spell and read. (Pupils will guess bird, explain it’s a kind of bird which can say hello.) 4.

Take out a coin, one side is a hamster, and the other side is a budgie, toss it and ask the pupils to guess hamster or budgie. After guessing, give them coins to play in groups. Step 3: 1.

Show a dog and say: I have got a dog, look, what colour is it? Ps: Blue and yellow. T: So I can say: My dog is blue and yellow. 2. Repeat and ask Have you got a pet? Ps: Yes, I have. Ask the pupils to colour their pets. 3. Ask a pupil: Have you got a pet? What is it? What colour is it? P1: Yes, it’s a cat, it’s purple. T: You can say: My cat is purple. P1: My cat is purple. T: P1’s cat is purple. Ask some more pupils and say XX’s (pet) is (colour). 5.

T: My dog is blue and yellow, and my name is Daisy, so you can say: Daisy’s dog is blue and yellow.(together) Write and read for several times. 6.

Take some pupils’ pets and ask pupils to say by themselves. 7.

Talk about friends’ pets in groups.

Feedback. Step 4: 1.

T: I have four friends too, look, they’re Julia, Steve, Jeff and Maria. Read the names. 2.

Play the recording twice and ask the pupils to tick the four pets.

3.

Listen again and check the answer, saying: Julia’s cat is black and white. etc. 4.

Write about the four pets. 5.
