I:Warming up(5 mins)

Greetings. 2. Watch a cartoon about weather. II:Presentation(15 mins) 1. Ask the students what the cartoon is about to help students know the topic Weather. 2. Show a map of the world and invite students to travel around the world. Teach different cities and weather.

3. Lead the students to make sentences: It's sunny and hot

in Sydney. III:Practice (10 mins)

What's missing.This game is to help students practise reading the words. There are words and pictures about weather. Make pictures and the according words disappear one by one. Have the students to speak out what is missing as quickly as possible. 2.

Game: What's the weather like? This game is to help students practise the sentences. Students are supposed to ask the teacher: What's the weather like? Teacher answers: It's rainy. Students repeat the sentence while they are doing the action. But when the teacher say some certain sentence: It's cloudy. Students are supposed to sit down as quickly as they can. 3.

Look and guess: Look at the pictures and guess what the weather is like. For example, a man wearing a T-shirt and shorts is drinking icy soda. Have students guess what the weather is like. 4. Listen to the Audio CD and read. IV:Production (5 mins) 1. Pair work. Have students work in pairs to make a dialogue. 2. Group work. Show some pictures of different cities in China. Have students choose one city to travel to. They need to make a dialogue then act it out. 3. Have students classify the clothes into different groups according to different weather. Tell students that they should dress right for the weather. V: Homework Draw a mind map about weather.
