本单元的教学内容主要是围绕学生们感兴趣的动物园里的小动物展开，共分为A、B、C三部分。A部分主要呈现四个形容词tall, short, fat, thin, 使学生能在动物园这个情景中灵活得当地使用词汇及句型：Look at…

It’s…. 来描述动物。在Let’s spell 中学习字母Ii在闭音节单词中的发音，训练学生能根据其发音规则听单词读音拼出相应单词。B部分主要是继续呈现四个描述教材分析

性的形容词small, big, long, short, 并通过教学活动使学生能熟练掌握这四个描述性的形容词。在

Start to read 中通过两项专项练习，训练学生的初步阅读理解能力和表达能力；Let’s check部分则检测学生对本单元重点词汇，句型的掌握；Let’s chant巩固重点，强化语感。C部分是拓展部分，以Story time 的形式渗透文化意识，使学生形成初步的阅读理解能力，促进学生综合语言运用能力的发展。
