一、教学内容:译林五下《Unit 7 Chinese festivals》Story time

二、教学目标:

1. 能听懂、会读、会说节日单词:Double Ninth Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Spring Festival.

2.能听懂、会读、会说不同节日的传统食物和活动。

3.能正确的理解并朗读课文,在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

4.教育学生继承和发扬中国的传统文化,懂得尊老,热爱祖国。

三、教学重点:

Step 1: Pre-reading activities

(课前播放准备好的Chinese festival 宣传片,给孩子创设学习节日的氛围) 1 Greeting and check the preview

(1). Listen to a song “The months”

(2). Free talk

T:How many months are there in one year?What are they?

T:Which month is it now? A re there any special days in May?

T:Mother’s Day is a festival for our mother.I buy some new clothes for my mother. T:What do you do on Mother’s Day?

Are there any festivals in December?Christmas is a festival.Mother’s Day is a festival. Today we’ll learn some Chinese Festivals. Read Unit7.

【设计意图】从孩子熟悉的话题:day,week,season,再通过Christmas让孩子区分Western festival和Chinese festival,自然导入到本课的festivals 学习。

2. Now look at some pictures. Are they all Chinese festivals?If it is about this,please say “Chinese festival”,or you will say no,are you clear?

【设计意图】在游戏中展示本单元即将出现的图片,让孩子在轻松愉悦的游戏氛围中一边欣赏图片,一边操练短语Chinese festivals。

Step 2: While-reading activities

1.This is a book about Chinese festivals,what do you want to know?

T:First,let us know the names of festivals.On each page,there is a picture and a description,but there is no title. What Chinese festivals are they talking about?Please read quickly and guess the title,what festival is it?

Teach: Double Ninth Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, Spring Festival.

【设计意图】对文本进行再构,以连环画图文并茂地形式呈现每个节日,鼓励学生拟标题,既可以初步感知课文,也可以引出目标词汇并根据每个节日的由来记忆。

2.Watch and write

T:Just now,we knew the names.Next, let us discuss it. When are the festivls?

T:In2014,it was on the 31st of January,in 2016,it was on the 8th of February,so we can say it is in January or February.

【设计意图】让孩子看卡通阅读,了解每个节日的时间。

3. Listen and choose.

T: Then let us discuss what to do

T: What do people do at the Spring Festival?

S 1: They get together with their families.

T:What do you do at the Spring Festival?

S1 :I watch TV with my family.

S2:I get red packets.

T:What do people eat at the Spring Festival?

S : They eat dumplings.

T:What do you eat at the Spring Festival?

S 1:I also eat Tangyuan.

S2:I eat meat and fish.

T: How do you feel at the Spring Festival?

S : I feel happy and warm.

T:In north China,some people eat dumplings ,that means money,because they look

like 元宝.But in south China, some people eat tangyuan,that means family get together. Because tangyuan sounds like tuanyuan.

4.Watch and answer

b.What do people eat?-They eat rice dumplings

T:Now it is in May,what festival is coming.Let us watch a video.

6.Look and say.

T: I would like to introduce another warm festival to you. It is a festival for old people.What is it?

S : The Double Ninth Festival.

T:Try to say.出示重阳节的四幅图片:拜访老人、登山、赏花、吃重阳糕,让学生用已学会的句型尝试说一说。

S1:At this Festival,we visit the old people.

S2:I climb mountains with my parents.

S3:Sometimes we enjoy flowers.

S4 : We also eat rice cakes at this festival.

T:What do you want to do for the old people inyour family?

S1:I want to take a walk with my grandpa.

S2:I want to cook dinner for my grandparents.

S3:I can draw a nice picture for them.

【设计意图】在四个节日的呈现中注重学习策略的指导,首先和学生讨论春节并进行了文化知识的渗透。其次通过短片的形式引入端午节并归纳了一个节日的三个因素-时间、活动、代表性食物。再次让孩子自主阅读阅读中秋节的相关知识并以小组问答的形式来掌握目标句型。最后鼓励学生在看图的基础上用目标句型来介绍重阳节。
