一、教材分析

新教学理念注重跨学科的学习,使学生在不同内容的相互交叉、渗透和整合中开阔视野,提高学习效率和兴趣,进一步获得现代社会所需要的英语语言的实践能力。

在英语和其他各个学科的融合中,信息技术、音乐、美术与英语的结合尤其紧密,这是因为信息技术能够辅助英语学科进行更加直观的教学,英语歌曲的演唱有助于帮助学生更好地掌握英语的发音,美术可以简洁明了的表现英语的内容,同时使小学生活泼好动的性格特点随着音乐得到发挥,随着美术而创新思维,从而使他们在轻松愉快的氛围中达到语言学习的目的,提高学生的学习兴趣。

本课教学内容为六年级第一册第四单元第十九课《Christmas Is

Coming!》.本课介绍了北美文化中一个十分重要的节日--- 圣诞节,通过了解圣诞节的起源、传统、习俗、培养孩子们的跨文化意识,使他们在轻松、愉快的气氛中达到语言学习目的。

二、学生分析

本节授课对象是六年级的学生。该年龄阶段的孩子天真、活泼,喜乐好动,具有强烈的表现欲和求知欲。他们有一定的英语基础,具有自己动手搜集信息的能力,对西方文化充满着好奇和渴望,这就要求老师为他们提供一个开放而富有活力的课堂,这个开放需要融合,让英语语言的学习和实践贯穿于多个学科的活动中,借助信息技术等多种手段尽量给他们提供真实的语言情境,使他们在这个情境中把所学的知识淋漓尽致的体现出来。

三、教学设计

(一)教学目标:

知识目标:1.能够听、说、读、写单词Christmas, Christmas tree,

holiday ,lights

2.识记单词special, Santa, toys, invite, bring, give

能力目标:能听懂关于圣诞节的故事,准确说出“What is Christmas?”,及圣诞节特殊的理由,能够在实际的生活中灵活运用过圣诞节的一些说法,如“邀请别人,互赠礼物,唱圣诞赞歌”等,培养孩子们的听说及语言交际能力。

情感目标:使孩子们了解更多关于国外节日的信息,增强他们的跨文化意识,培养他们热爱祖国的思想感情。

(二)教学重难点:

重点:1.掌握单词Christmas, Christmas tree,holiday ,lights并能够准确认读单词special, Santa, toys, invite, bring, give。

2.能用英语表述“What is Christmas?”,准确说出圣诞节特殊的理由。难点:

能够在实际生活中灵活运用过圣诞节的一些说法,如“邀请别人,互赠礼物,唱圣诞赞歌”等。

教具:卡片录音机课件实物

教学过程:

一.Greeting

(课前播放歌曲Jingle Bells,渲染圣诞的节日氛围。)

Use the calendar to review days of the week,month of the year and ordinal numbers

通过小对话引出并复习关于时间的句子。

T:Hello,boys and girls.

S: Hello,teacher.

T: How’s the weather today?

S: It’s sunny.

T: What day is it?(课件)

S: It’s Tuesday, Nov.4th.

二.New Concept

1. Christmas

T: What is the important day in December?

Christmas.(板书)

T: Show the calendar. When is it?

S: It is December twenty-fifth.

(Look at the pictures,出示春节图片,进行中西方文化对比。)

T: Is it Christmas?

S: No, it’s Spring Festival.

T: Do you like Spring Festival?

S: Yes.

T: Why?

S: Because we can eat good food, we can stay at home….

T: Spring Festival is in China . It is a Chinese holiday.(板书)

I like Spring Festival, I like Christmas too.

Is Christmas a Chinese holiday?

S: No.

T: It’s a Western holiday.(板书) On a holiday, people don’t work. Children don’t go to school.

( Let children try to say the sentences by themselves.)

Do you know sth about Christmas?

( Let children say sth by using their own words.)

T: Do you know some other things about Christmas? (出示课件,让孩子们自己动手找出问题的答案,并试着给其他人讲述,培养他们的动手能力,使他们对找到的知识印象深刻。)

T: What’s Christmas? (Let children answer this question.)

S: It’s a Western holiday. On a holiday, people don’t work.

Children don’t go to school.

2. Christmas is special.

T: Do you like Christmas? Why?

S: Yes, I like Christmas. Because I like Christmas trees, lights, Santa and Christmas songs.

T: We have Christmas trees, lights, Santa. So we say Christmas

is special.

What’s this?(出示实物)

It’s a Christmas tree.(强调读音)

What are on the Christmas tree? What are these?

These are Christmas lights.

Where are they?

S: They are on the Christmas tree.

T: Are they beautiful?

S: Yes.

T:(出示圣诞老人实物) Who is he? He is Santa. What color are his clothes? S: Red.

T: He is a merry man in red clothes.(让一个学生表演一下圣诞老人,让其他学生描述圣诞老人的样子。) What are in the bag? Guess.(让孩子们猜猜看圣诞老人的袋子里都装了什么。) 引出gifts and toys.并通过动作让孩子们会说动词bring,让他们边做动作边练习读音。试着说句子I bring gifts and toys on Christmas.

Do you like Santa? Why?

S: Yes, I like Santa. Because Santa brings toys for me.

T: What do you want?

S: I want a big toy car, but my father doesn’t give me. I think Santa will give me.

3. How to spend Christmas?

T: Ok, class. We know that Spring Festival is a Chinese holiday. We are very happy on that day. What do we do on Spring Festival?

S:(让孩子们用自己的语言说说春节人们都干什么?)To set off firecrackers, invite grandfather and grandmother, give the money, eat dumplings and a lot of good food, watch the evening party…

T: What do the foreigners do on Christmas?

S: ……(Let children think the question by themselves.)

(出示课件,Jenny一家如何过圣诞节)

T: We invite our family and friends to our house.(表演如何邀请别人: By telephone “Hello, please come for Christmas!”)

We bring gifts for each other. They bring gifts for us.

We give our family and friends gifts too. And We say “Merry Christmas!”

We sing special songs at Christmas. Christmas songs are carols. Listen to the famous song Do you like the song? S: Yes!

T: I have fun. Do you have fun on Christmas?

S: Yes.

T: So we have fun together!

4. Answer questions as quickly as you can .

七、课后反思:

本课是利用信息技术来辅助英语教学的,通过呈现生动活泼的动画把孩子们的积极性充分调动起来,并利用电脑课件找出孩子们并不了解的关于圣诞节的知识,使信息技术在英语教学中得到充分体现。这节课也是英语篇章教学的一个尝试,对于小学英语篇章教学,我采取了听音和阅读相结合的方式,先让孩子们充分理解课文内容,在阅读之前先安排好问题,让他们小组合作解决问题,在解决问题的过程中也就找出了本课的重点知识,教师适时加以肯定,并再次重申重难点,使孩子们牢固掌握基础知识,采用了教师“教学”与学生“自学”相结合的方式,培养了他们的探究意识和解决问题的能力。

圣诞节是这节课的主旋律,情境的创设是至关重要的。孩子们在这个氛围中学,说,听,表演,对话,并能够和伙伴们用英语进行交流,达到用语言进行交际的目的。

在教学中也存在着一些不足,在设计最后一个环节“如何过圣诞节?”时,给孩子们的空间较大,有同学做对话时有些偏离主题了,应提出明确目标,围绕主题进行练习,起到复习巩固的作用。
