1. 揭题

Today we will learn Unit5 Helping our parents.

S1: 齐读课题2遍。

T：What is this topic is about?Look at the picture.Can you raise any questions?These words can help you.

(用where,who,what,what day提问。) 2. T：I have a question for you: What are they doing? What does it mean? There are three choices for you, Which one do you choose?

平板出示题面，学生答题。

4. Read and underline

Mike and his father are cleaning the car. What about the other family members? Read the paragraph on P48, underline the key sentences and number. 细读P48，划出每个人正在做的事情

过渡T：Are you right?Let’s check. 1.

Mike’s mother is in the kitchen.

She is cooking the breakfast. We also can say: She is cooking the breakfast in the kitchen. 2.

Where is Helen? What is she doing ? Helen is in the living room.

We also can say: She is sweeping the floor in the living room. 3.

Where is Tim?

What is he doing ? He is in his bedroom.

He is sleeping.

We also can say: He is sleeping in his bedroom. Ben the dog is sleeping too. 5. Read and find: read the sentences, try to find rules.学生自读，简单讲解现在进行时。

6.Look and retell: choose to one picture to retell. 7. Learning Picture 2 and 3 1) Look at the clock. It is afternoon now.
