My friends Part B
Read and write ⅠAnalysis of the teaching material This class discusses about friends, which is an interesting topic. It consists of two parts: Read and match and Choose and write. In “Read and match” part, it requires students to
read the text and match with names. In “Choose and write” part, it requires students to write the sentences about friends. Besides, students learn to draw theirs friends and describe them . In the procedure of teaching, we will combine English games with dull knowledge to make the class active. Also, it improves students’ speaking, writing and reading skills, which help them use English better in daily life. Therefore, they will gain a lot in this class. Ⅱ Analysis of the Students This class will be had in Grade4. Students have learnt a little about English, so they are interested in it. Although they are active and competitive in class, their attention can’t be kept long. Therefore, it requires us to use attractive teaching methods to hold students’ attention. Besides, some students are too shy to take part in class games, so we should encourage them to perform themselves.

1 Read quietly and get the main idea of the text. 2 Read after the teacher, then students read loudly by themselves. 3 Students read together and do the match one by one. Post-reading: 1 Choose the right words to describe people and fill the blanks. 2Group work: Say and draw. Five students in a group to draw a friend and describe him/her. Then show the groupwork. Step4 Emotion education:
Friends are sunshine in our life, so please cherish our friends. Step5 Summary and homework
This class we have made 4 new friends and learnt how to describe our friends, we have gained a lot. 1 Introduce your friends to your parents. 2 Have a friends’ party. Step9 Reflection
