一、教材分析

本模块以校园生活为话题，分设三个课时进行学习。本节课是这个模块中的第二课时，是一节读写课型的新授课。作为第二模块，它承上启下，不仅复习使用了第一模块的内容，也为学习第三模块铺垫了语言和文化的基础。本单元内容是一篇介绍纽约市的失物招领处相关信息的文章。同时也叙述了人们丢失的各类物品和失物招领处奇怪有趣的物品。文章分为3段，结构清晰重点突出，有助于学生们的理解，这样学生的语言实践活动也较容易展开。

二、教学目标

1. 语言知识目标：

理解并掌握下列词汇：

名词：camera mobile phone hurry airport sausage

动词：leave travel lose

形容词：strange

数词：hundred thousand

短语：look for many other things lost and found office

句型：that’s why… /whose are they? /Are they yours?

2. 技能目标

（1）能够读懂有关介绍“失物招领处”的文章并理解文章大意

（2）能通过本节课的学习做出一个失物招领的小海报。

3.情感与态度目标

通过本课的学习，教育学生要保管好自己的物品。同时也教育学生们能够拾金不昧，乐于助人，更深刻的理解并践行我们的传统美德。

三、教学重难点

掌握重点句型并能读懂有关介绍“失物招领处”的文章。

四、教学过程

Step 1 Warming-up and leading-in

以谈论丢失物品的经历为话题导入。

T: Do you often lose things? What did you lose?

Ss: money pen dog mobile phone…

T: Then, at last did you find the thing that you lost? Where did you find it?

Ss: At police station/at home/ at school/ at the library/lost and found office…

T: There are many lost and found offices in our daily life, now let us look at the pictures. Where can we find them?

Ss: train station airport shopping mall school…

Step 2 Pre-reading

1.Teach some words which can be found in the text.

Show students some pictures of the Lost and Found Office in New York city, check or teach the new words. 2.Finish activity1. Step 3 While-reading

1.Fast reading Ask students to read the passage fast. T: There is a big Lost and Found Office in New York City. There are many things in it. Please scan the passage and match the main idea with each paragraph. 2.Careful reading Ask students to listen and read the passage carefully. T: There are many lost things in the Lost and Found Office, many people come here to find their things. Do you want to learn more about it? Now, please read the passage and answer the questions in Activity 2. Step 4 Post-reading

Retell. ①Let the students fill in the blanks according to the passage. (Activity 3) ②Call back the answers from two students then read the short passage in the whole class .
