教材分析：

本课是上海版牛津英语4A Module 4 Unit 11 Shapes的内容。主要学习形状的5个单词：star, circle, square, triangle, rectangle,以及对数量进行提问的句子：How many…are there? There are/is….该课的重点是能正确使用句型描述生活中的形状的数量。教学的难点是单词的发音，如triangle, rectangle等。

学情分析：

四年级的孩子具有好动、爱玩、爱表现、想象力丰富、善于模仿等特点。他们对英语学习具有浓厚的兴趣。有两百左右的词汇量，能正确使用常用的简单句，具有一定的学习方法，但缺乏自我调控能力。

教学目标：

PPT ，some pictures 教学过程: Ⅰ.Pre-task preparation: 1.Warming up Today let’s have a competition. I’ll divide you into 4 groups. Group 1,2,3 and 4. 2.Play a magic show.

Guess what’s in the paper bag? （通过猜一猜的形式，激发学生学习的兴趣，营造一种自由而轻松的英语交流氛围。）

Show the picture of the snowman. 3.Show the title “Shapes”

It is December now. Christmas is coming. At Christmas we can make a snowman and we can see the Christmas tree.

They are made by different shapes.

Ⅱ.While-task procedures: 1.Look at the snowman’s head. What shape is it?

2. Look at snowman’s face. How many circles are there?

5.Look at snowman’s hat. What colour is it? What shape is it?

6.Now the snowman brings you a box.

7.Let’s open the box. What in the box? Can you guess?

Practice the sentence pattern. 8.Play a game. (通过快速反应游戏的形式，帮助学生熟练新学的单词同时降低学生的枯燥成度。）

强烈的音乐节奏用说唱的形式表现出来，使人读了倍感愉快难以忘怀。同时帮助学生发现形状与形状之间的联系。) 10.Practice in pairs Look! Santa Claus is coming. He brings a heavy bag. Let’s open it. （掌握语言的目的就是为了与人交流，给学生提供有效的交流场景和整合所学知识的适当机会，使其学以致用。）

12. Listen and choose

Just now we talked about the shapes. Miss Fang and her students are talking about shapes too. Listen to the dialogue and choose

which picture are they talking about? (让学生听录音初步感知对话并对两幅图片进行大致判断。）

13.Read and answer 1）How many squares are there? 2）How many stars are there? 3）How many rectangles and triangles are there? (利用问题让学生自学对话,并由问题的反馈为学生提供自主学习的空间。) 14.Listening and speaking (听音跟读，让学生了解课文正确的发音。) 15.Role play Now I am Miss Fang.Boys ,you are Peter and Joe.Girls ,you are Kitty and Alice Read after the tape. (通过角色朗读帮助学生进一步了解文中的特定情景。) Ⅲ.Post-task activities: 1.Look and read Show a passage and let student read it. （把对话转变成说明文，让学生读一读，为下个环节的写一写埋下伏

笔。）

2.Choose and write Choose their favourite pictures and write it. （将口头信息转化为书面文字，锻炼他们的笔头能力，这也是四年级学生必不可少的。）

3.Enjoy the shapes about buildings. （通过教师对于生活中一些建筑实物的描述，让学生掌握一些新的单词，增加词汇量的同时，扩大知识面，激活学生的思维，充分进行想象。）
