1. Present the sentence patterns.
Show some pictures of our school. (CAI)
a. T: Look at the pictures please. What is it?
Ss: school.
T: How do you go to school? (Write the sentences on the blackboard, read the sentences together for several times, ask them to read it loudly, and then ask them.)
S1: bus.
T: Oh, you go to school by bus? (Emphasis “by”, write it on the blackboard)
S1: I go to school by bus.
T: OK, read after me. Then, read the phrase “by bus”
in groups.
b. T: How do you go to school?
S2: I go to school by bike.
Write the phrase“by bike”on the blackboard, read the sentences“I go to school by bike.”together for several times, ask them to read it loudly.
c. T: How do you go to school?
S3: I go to school by motorbike.
Write the phrase“by motorbike”on the blackboard, read the sentences“I go to school by motorbike.”together for several times,
ask them to read it in a high voice and low voice.
d. T: How do you go to school?
S2: I go to school by car.
Write the phrase “by car”
on the blackboard, read the sentences “I go to school by car.”together for several times, ask them to read it loudly.
e. T: How do you go to school?
S3: I go to school by metro.
Write the phrase “by metro”
on the blackboard, read the sentences “I go to school by metro.”

f. T: You go to school by car, but Lily always goes to work (go to our school) on foot, I usually walk to school.
