一、教学内容:5B Unit 1 Cinderella 第一课时

二、教学目标:1、理解整个故事内容并作简单复述;

2.、有感情地朗读以及生动地表演故事内容;

3、理解关键句型“why….because….”;

4、认识到善良、充满希望的重要性,成为一个幸福的人。

三、教学重点:1、简单复述故事;

2、理解句型“why…because…”

四、教学难点:表演故事内容。

五、教学过程:

Step1. Free talk

1.T: I am your new English teacher. Do you know my name? My Chinese name is Sun Jie , you can call me Miss Sun. Now I say “class!class!class!” you say “Miss Sun!Miss Sun!Miss Sun!”. Are you ready? You can also call me Jill.

2. Greetings

T:Good morning class, how are you? I am fine too. Sit down please.

3. Know more about me

T: You have known my name, do you want to know more about me?

Show Ss three adjectives “happy, sunny, clever”. Ask them to use “Why are you so…. ” to ask, the teacher answers with “Because….”

T: I am happy, because all of you are lovely and smart, I am happy to meet you here. I am sunny, because I like smiling. I am clever, because I like reading.

Step 2. Pre-reading

1.Show them some pictures about fairy tales.

T: I like reading, do you like reading? Do you like reading fairy tales? Today I bring some fairy tales here, look! They are Snow white, Little Red Riding Hood, The Little Mermaid. Have you read them all? I read them, too. But I read them by myself. 2.Show the picture of “Cinderella” and learn the word.

T: Today we’ll read a fairy tale together. Du you know what it is? Yes, it’s Cinderella. Now follow me: Cinderella, Cinderella, Cinderella.

3.What do you know about the story?

T: I believe most of you have read the tale, right? So can you share with us what you know about the story? Ok, me first. I know that Cinderella is a beautiful girl. How about you?

Step 3. While –reading

1.Watch and answer

T: You have good memories, well done! You said a lot about Cinderella, but are there any other characters in the tale? Now let’s watch the cartoon and answer “Who are in the story?”.

2.Teach the words: Cinderella, prince, fairy, step-mother, step-sister

T: So who are the other characters? Yes, of course Cinderella. Then prince,

follow me: prince, prince, prince. The prince is very….(cool, handsome). Then fairy, follow me: fairy, fairy, fairy. The fairy can play magic and we know she is kind and helps Cinderella. Then Cinderella’s step-mother, follow me: step-mother, step-mother, step-mother. And these two are…(Cinderella’s step-sisters) They are…(bad, ugly, evil)

3.Think and answer

T: You have found them all, good job! So , there are 6 characters in the story, and Cinderella is the main character. Let’s focus on her, and please think: At the end of the story, is Cinderella happy ? Right, she is happy. But in the story, is Cinderella always happy? Yes, we know she isn’t. What other feelings does Cinderella have?

4. Read and find:

T: Now, open your books, read the story loudly and discuss in groups: What other feelings does Cinderella have?

5. Let’s see

T: Who can share your findings? So at first Cinderella is poor, and then sad, and then excited, next sad, and finally happy. We can see Cinderella has many different feelings. But why? Why does she have these feelings?

6. Learn part 1 together.

T: Let’s focus on part 1: Why is Cinderella poor? Yes, because she has a lot of housework to do. How do you know that? Or who ask her to do the work? ( step-sisters) What do you think of her step-sisters? Are they good or bad? They are bad. Any other words to describe them? You can use Chinese. They are evil, mean and fierce. Can you read like them? Good! Let me try, ok? This time who want to try? Wow, you read better than me, and if I were Cinderella, I’ll surely be sacred. Now we know that Cinderella is poor because she has a lot of housework to do.

7. Self-learning

T: Cinderella is poor at first , but then she becomes sad, excited, sad, and happy. Why her feelings change? It’s your time to learn. Please learn the rest four parts of the story, work in groups and finish the 3 tasks:

1).Choose one part to read loudly.

2) Discuss in groups like this: Why is Cinderella….. Because ….

3) Give a report like this: Cinderella is….Because….

T: Cinderella is sad, because she doesn’t have any nice shoes or clothes. What does Cinderella say to the fairy? Please read the sentences and pay attention to her sad tone. Then why is Cinderella excited? Yes , because she can go to the party. But why she can go now? Right, she puts on the new clothes and shoes. Follow me: put on, put on. Next, why is Cinderella become sad again? (Because she has to go.) ‘has to’ means ‘must’, follow me: has to, has to. Finally why is Cinderella happy? Because the prince finds her. Why can the prince find her? Because Cinderella tries the shoe on. Follow me: try it on, try it on. And the price says: It fits!

Now, I am A you are B. Why is Cinderella poor? (sad, excited, sad, happy)

8. Let’s read:

T: I am so proud of you, because you are so clever, you can learn the passage all by yourselves. Big hands for you! Since you can understand the story, now let’s read. First let’s read after the tape. You can read well together, now choose one way to read. You can read after one, or read in roles, or read together in groups. 9. Let’s act

T: Well done, you read beautifully and vividly. Can you act? Look at the requirements:

1) Choose one part to act.

2) Act all the parts.

3) Act creatively

Step 4. Post-reading

1.Let’s imagine

T: All of you are good actors, I really like your performance. We know in our book, the prince finds Cinderella at last, so what happens then? Can you make up an ending for the story?

2.Let’s think

T: You have colorful imagination. And all of you think Cinderella is very happy at last, but we know at first she is poor. Let’s think why Cinderella can be happy? You can use Chinese.

3.Conclusion

T: All you said are right. Cinderella is happy at last because she is kind, friendly and hopeful. Please be kind, friendly and hopeful. I hope all of you can be happy forever!

教后反思

整节课以Cinderella’s feelings为线索,以关键句型“Why….”和“Because….”为

牵引展开对文本的解读,在体会人物情感的基础上展开表演。相信结合原有的知识储备,学生经过这堂课能够较清楚地用英语复述课文内容,并能较好地掌握关键句型的使用。但由于对每个环节的时间把空不到位,不仅超出课堂时间,而且学生在表演部分的创造性以及在最后的开放性问题上的发散性思维未能得到充分地发挥和体现,是本节课的一大遗憾。除此之外,在学生自学故事内容环节,教师对于学生的引导还不够清晰,使得部分学生开始时有些茫然。另教师的调度型还欠缺,没能让更多学生参与到课堂活动中来
