Reflection:

课前的热身导入是一门学问，daily greetings，review,watch a video，看似平常，实则用心，这样三个环节的设计有很多好处。展现了新老师的亲和力，有利于师生在课堂上的合作。创设了一个宽松愉悦的课堂气氛。在细节处理上，我下载了一个birthday主题的模板，让整节课更加贴近主题。在read dates中插入了welcome to New York 的音乐，让学生的状态更加兴奋，也缓解一下紧张的气氛。并且选择了不同月份和日期。借着鼓励、表扬的噱头，给他们播放了一段关于生日的视频，视频中包含我们学生在学校或家里过生日，也包含了老师和一些耳熟能详的明星过生日的场景，极大地引起了学生的兴趣和表达欲望。并由此引出主题birthday，我及时突破读音难点。并及时引入本节课的主句型When is your birthday? It’s on______. What will you do? I will(I’ll)_____师生示范后进行简单的操练。先让学生自己发散思维，说一说自己会在生日时做的事，再通过图片加短语还有教师现场演示中学习更多的相关短语。学生在轻松愉快的氛围中学到了更多动词词组。反思后觉得可以先说老师会做什么给学生一些提示和示范，学生可能在free talk 时可以说的更多。while task的部分，需要教师引导学生去挖掘文本。更多侧重在“说”。教师主要通过几个问题引导学生理解、剖析这篇dialogue。在回答完第二个问题后，重点通过图片和现场用学生和老师举例来突破both of这个难读难懂的点。但是没有解释then在这里指代的意思。也缺少学生的提问，少了对学生探究能力的培养。最后一部分为情感升华，由课文中Chen Jie知道妈妈的生日并且为妈妈煮面条及时提问学生是否知道妈妈的生日并及时通过视频和图片进行情感渗透。布置作业，让学生回家了解家人的生日。如果视频能找到英文版或者展现更多母亲为孩子做的事情会更好。此环节主要是为了让学生后面更想说What will you do for your mother?
