Unit 8 Birthdays（story time）

本板块呈现了教室的场景，通过Miss Li询问Su Hai, Mike的生日，他们分别描述生日当天的情形学习句型：When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…并通过此板块学习新词组：have a big dinner, eat some noodles, play with Kitty, have a party, buy a birthday cake, eat the birthday cake, play some games, have a great time, have a lot of fun. Su Hai 和Mike分别介绍了各自的生日和如何过生日，呈现了中西方生日文化的差异。

目标预设：

1. 能听懂、会读、会说单词：birthday, eleventh, eighth, April, together, game, March, July, August, December. 2. 能听懂、会读、会说日常用语：When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…. 3. 能正确的理解并朗读课文，在教师的引导和帮助下尝试复述课文内容。

4. 能了解中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯。

重点、难点：

1. 能正确理解并朗读课文，在教师的帮助下尝试复述课文。

2. 能初步运用本课所学的词汇和句型询问别人的生日以及如何过生日。

3. 日期的表达法。

设计理念：

本节课是5下第8单元的第一课时，是一节语篇教学课。现代课堂阅读教学结构大体上分为三个阶段：阅读前、阅读中和阅读后，目的是确保通过阅读教学帮助学生形成处理文本的能力。本节课中，我在课前深度挖掘教材资源遵循整体——局部——整体的教学思路，注重前后知识的联系，让语言学习在真实的、自然的师生互动中进行；同时为学生提供思考和语言交际的机会，让英语课堂成为学生彰显个性的舞台。

设计思路：

这节课我分为三个部分：1.引出生日这个话题，并学习When’s your birthday? What do you do on your birthday? 及回答It’s on… I usually…. 2. 谈论Su Hai和Mike的生日活动。3.让学生写写自己及家人的生日活动，进行语段输出。在教学环节的推进过程中，我能注意环节转换的自然、连贯、递进，逐步提升学生的思维水平。尽可能的做到开放式的教学，由小开放到大开放，让学生在小开放性的教学情境环节基本上将本课所学习的内容作进一步的综合和巩固。在大开放性教学的环节中，超越本节课所学的内容。

教学过程：

T: Can you say some words or phrases about Birthday? Ss: birthday card, birthday cake........ T: How do people celebrate their birthdays? S1: They eat a birthday cake. S2: They buy a birthday cake. 【设计意图】教师先要求学生说出与生日庆祝活动有关的单词或者词组，然后要求学生用完整的句子说一说庆祝生日的方式。在此过程中可以加入目标单词和词组或者拓展介绍更多的词汇。

T: Choose one way to retell the text. 【设计意图】设计让学生复述课文，一方面可以检查他们对新知识的掌握情况，另一方面可以培养他们自己组织语言材料进行口语交际的能力，让他们能够学以致用，也使整个课文的处理呈现出层层推进，由浅入深，层次分明，课文的复述是对学生提出的最高要求。
