Unit13 lesson4 First Impressions

教学目标：

1.知识目标：学生能够掌握该课的词汇，尤其是表达情感的词汇。

2.能力目标:学生能够通过泛读填写好story map，掌握描写故事的要素。

学生能够通过细读划分文章结构，制作篇章的结构的思维导图，并使用思维导图记忆及复述课文，最终形成新的语言输出。

3.情感目标：让学生明白第一印象不一定是正确的，不能仅凭第一印象来评判一个人。

教学重难点：

1.使用思维导图帮助学生通过阅读，逐步掌握略读、细读、了解文章细节、文意和主旨等阅读策略，提高学生阅读能力。

2.根据导图及关键词复述课文。

3.体会通过不同词性来表达情感。

教学过程: Step1.Warm up （discuss some Qs with Ss) Q1 What do you think of first impression ? Q2:Do you think first impression is always true? Q3:Have you ever met someone you didn’t like but became your friend later?What were your first impressions on him/her?（Use some adjs to describe him or her) (设计意图：通过问题导入，自然而然过渡到文章的主题，打开学生的思维通道，激活学生相关词汇，激发学生的参与热情，并为接下去的写作提供词汇）

Step2.Pre-reading Task1:Show the picture of the text and ask students to identify what style the text is and what the story is going to talk about. A.
