Unit 6. How Do You Like This One?(Period 1)

一.Teaching Aims: 1. Knowledge aims:

①Students can listen, speak, read and write the words: buttons, collar, color, purple, jacket ②Students can listen, speak, read and the words: zipper, pocket, with, without ③Enable students to ask and answer:

(1) A:What color do you want?

B:I want ... . (2) A:How do you like this one?

B: Oh, I like it./ Well, I don’t like it.

I want …without/ with ... . 2. Ability aims: By the end of the lesson, students should be able to describe

clothes. 3. Emotion aims:

Let students feel all of them are winners; all of them are the best. 4. Key point and difficult point:

1、本单元设计意图:学生通过学习关于衣服及喜好的问答,熟悉一些和生活中购物有关的内容。教师鼓励学生在生活中能运用这些内容,更好的体现语言的交际性。

2、本单元学习目标

语言知识目标:学生能用英语问答关于购物的话题,能从听、说、读三方面了解如何介绍衣服和关于衣服的喜好。

语言技能目标:教师创设情境,学生在情境中学语言,学生能运用所学语言进行交际的能力。

情感态度目标:激发他们学习的积极性,培养学生学习英语的兴趣,培养孩子乐于与人合作的意识,通过学习和交流,促进学生对与购物相关话题的了解。

学习策略目标:培养学生的注意力,观察力,激发学生积极思维,通过游戏活动,培养学生学习英语的兴趣,引导学生在任务中积极运用所学英语进行表达与交流。

3、学情分析

五年级学生已经具备了一定的词汇量和英语交际能力,可以进行一些对话创编和替换仿写,但是对于语法学习还是有一定的困难,课堂应该通过对于词句的有梯度的训练来让学生感知语法知识。同时要在照顾大部分同学的情况下进行拔高,体现分层教学的教学理念。

4、单元具体设计

根据课时安排我把本单元分4课时来完成教学。

四、Teaching Procedures:

Step I . Greetings 1. Quick time: Let students say the color in English quickly and stand up if they know the picture. (设计意图:用游戏快答并且站起来来集中孩子们注意力,迅速进入上课状态,活跃了紧张的课堂气氛,同时这个游戏与本课所讲内容息息相关,颜色,衣服等重点单词都涉及,为学生在后面的学习做了铺垫。最后一个短语“a purple skirt”

不仅学习了本课重点单词更引出情景主线— Let's go shopping.)

Step II . Presentation

1. T: I want to buy a purple skirt, so let’s go shopping together!

Please look at my shopping list. (设计意图:引入本课情景主线,同时引出下面要学习的关于如何介绍衣服的话题,是承上启下的过渡环节。)

2.Teacher’s shopping list.

①Give two sweaters. One has a collar, and the other has no collar. Let them to find the difference. Then teach new words: collar,a sweater with a collar,a sweater without a collar. Let them know with and without. Then teach the key sentence “

I want a sweater with/ without a collar.”

And read them one by one. The same way teach : ②I want a skirt with/ without a zipper.

③I want a shirt with/ without buttons.

④I want a jacket with/ without pockets.

(设计意图:由我的购物单引入本课重点句型“I want ... .”,将重点单词和短语融入其中,进行从词到词组再到句子的有梯度的学习。在引导学生掌握介绍衣服的方式的同时也引导学生自己拼读单词,进行了语音教学。)

3. Look at the Bb and review the new words.

4. T: In my shopping list, I want a jacket with pockets.

What’s your shopping list?

Ss: I want a ... with/ without a ... . (设计意图: 复习本课的重点单词和句子,同时检查学生的掌握情况。并由此环节自然过渡到下一重点句型的学习,环环相扣。)

5. ①S1: I want a sweater with a zipper. ( PPT shows a sweater) T : How do you like this one? S1: I like it. It’s good.

Talk in pairs.

② ( PPT shows a skirt)T: How do you like this one? S2 ( Choose a boy): I don’t like it.

Talk in pairs. ③T ( PPT shows a jacket): How do you like this one? S3: I don’t like it.

T ( PPT shows other jackets): What color do you want? S3: I want a purple jacket.

Study the “ color” then ask and answer.

(设计意图: 学习本课第二、三个重点句型的问答,将简单的且学生掌握情况较好的句子进行整合,使知识成为一个整体,同时也节约了授课时间,突出了新课标中高效课堂的理念。)

Step III: Practice 1. Pair Work A: May I help you?

What color do you want? B: I want a purple skirt. A: How do you like this purple skirt?

B: Oh, I like it. / Well, I don’t like it. I want a skirt with /without a zipper. (设计意图:将本课重点句型整合成一组对话,依旧紧扣去购物的情景主线。在此环节中,加入评价和奖励机制,激发学生的学习兴趣。而让学生可以自由选择读或创编对话,则符合新课标关于因材施教和照顾全体的要求。)

2. Listen and answer the questions. (P54) ①What does Billy want to buy?

②How does Billy like this one?

3. Listen and repeat. (P56) (设计意图:练习听力,回归课本,多方面运用文本。锻炼孩子们听读的能力,并复习本课重点句型,加深记忆。)

4. Practice ①What color do you want?(he)

What color does he want? ②连词成句

that, how, you, like, purple, coat, do (?)

How do you like that purple coat?

③阅读短文回答问题,并划出做题依据。

Lily wants to buy a dress for her mother, because her mother’s birthday is coming. Her mother likes pink. But Lily doesn’t like the pink dress that the cashier shows her. She wants a dress without a zipper. Question: A. What does Lily want?

Lily wants a dress without a zipper.

B. How does Lily like the pink dress?

She doesn't like it.

5.Can you write?

要求:1.从以下关键词中任选三个:

go shopping, want, purple, jacket, with a collar, without buttons

2. 不少于五句话。

(设计意图:习题难道逐渐升高,从听、说、读、写四个方面培养了学生的综合能力,更培养了其发散思维。达到了预设目的。)

StepIV. Homework.(Choose A or B)

1. Make the dialogue like the passage on P56. 2. Write down a passage:结合所学的内容, 创编一篇以《 Let's Go Shopping》为题目的关于购物的短文。

六、Teaching reflection 1.本课设计完整,教学过程环环相扣,过渡自然流畅,教学重难点突出。

2.操练到位且形式多样,学生掌握扎实,课堂具有时效性。

3.授课过程中时间安排不当,前松后紧,导致最后在练习时时间不够,处理得太过仓促,教师也缺乏教学机智,没能及时进行调整。

4.全篇缺乏亮点,没能通过游戏等方式来吸引学生的兴趣,以后应改正。

5.没能根据学生水平进行教学预设,导致很多环节过渡非常不流畅,重复太多,浪费时间。以后应当重视学生实际,不能想当然得进行教学设计。

Teacher draw and Ss read the words: a collar, a zipper, buttons and pockets. (设计意图:通过动画的方式,复习上一课时学习过重点单词,形象且直接,便于学生记忆,更符合新课标中寓教于乐的要求。)

2. Pair Work A: May I help you?

What color do you want? B: I want a purple sweater. A: How do you like this purple sweater?

B: Oh, I like it. / Well, I don’t like it. I want a sweater with / without a collar. (设计意图:将上一课时内容整合为一组对话,培养学生的口语表达能力和发散思维,同时也能检验学生对上一课时知识的掌握情况,便于查漏补缺。)

Step II . Presentation

1. ① T: Look at here, this is a small sweater. (PPT shows a small sweater), read after me –

“small”.

Ss: small

T: This is a small sweater, how about this one (PPT shows a smaller

sweater)? Then teach “smaller” and the comparative adjective.

Ss read them one by one –

“ small- smaller”.

T: I like this one( point to the smaller one). Show me a smaller one, please.

(设计意图:通过师生问答来学习关于价格和尺寸的问答,谈论与生活息息相关的话题,拉进了学生和课本之间的距离,体现了新课标中对于“理论联系实际”的要求,使知识更具实效性。)

B: Well, I don’t know. 六、Teaching reflection 1.本课在复习上一课时内容的基础之上讲授新知,由旧引新过渡自然,用生活实际讲课,拉近了学生和课本之间的距离,符合新课标要求。

2.授课过程中讲授方法太过单一,学生被动学习。以后应当重视激发学生的学习兴趣,重视学生的学龄段特征,因材施教。
