本课时是语言点的操练，通过用我们身边的例子结合词汇的用法来给学生以不同形式的展现。同时在语言点讲解中坚持以复习学过的知识再结合新的讲解相结合，让学生能做到温故而知新。

Teaching aims:

Get students to know the usage of the introduced words.

Get students to make up sentences with the newly learned words. 3.

Help students learn how to express one meaning in different forms.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1

Delight The usage of the word delight. Step 2

Compete Ask students to translate the sentence given by the teacher.

Step 3

Separate Compare the usage of separate and divide. Step 4

Honour Fill in blanks with the correct forms of the honour. Step 5

Side by side Introduce the similar phrases. Step 6

Light Show students the picture of Beijing Olympic torch. Step 7

Recognize Show different meanings of the word, and then ask students to translate into Chinese. Step 8

Record Introduce more phrases of the word. Step 9

Absence Show them example of one of their classmates. Step 10

Attempt Use different ways to express the same idea. Step 11

Homework Ask Ss to write a short story containing all the words learned in this section.
