Lesson19 Christmas is coming!教学设计 学情分析： 所在班级情况，学生特点分析: 六年级共有学生9人，学生是从三年级起开始学习冀教版小学英语教材的，有一定的英语基础。但是由于语言环境的影响、学习条件的不足和学生本身对学英语的不自信，随着学习内容的加深，导致一些学生学习起来困难，不喜欢说英语，不喜欢用英语与他人交流，这也是英语教学的一个困难。

教材分析：

这是一节关于西方节日——圣诞节的新授课。它介绍的是圣诞节的一些风俗习惯。本课内容和学生的日常生活有一定的联系，在四年级的时候他们已经接触了一些节日，如：New Year’s Day , Children’s Day , Teachers’ Day……而且学生对于西方的节日文化有了一定的了解，因此我认为这对他们理解课文有很大的帮助。在理解课文的同时，也让学生学会礼貌待人。

教学目标：

（一）能使学生听、说、读、写下列单词：

holiday, Christmas, Christmas tree, lights, song。

1.会听、说、读下列单词：

Western, special, Santa, invite, bring, gifts, carol。

2.会使用日常用语：

①Merry Christmas! ②Please come for Christmas! ③I’m excited! （三）能使学生通过小组合作和互相交流来完成教学任务，

（四）能使学生知道圣诞节的时间是12月25日，了解圣诞节时人们的风俗习惯，让学生学会有礼貌地和他人进行交流。

理解下面几个句子：

We invite our family and friends to our house. They bring gifts for us. We give our family and friends gifts ，too. We sing special songs at Christmas. Christmas songs are carols. 教学过程

一、Class Opening and review （1）Greeting T: How are you today? Do you like to play games ? （2）Play a game “What holiday is it?”

Let’s play a game first . 教师出示课件图片，并根据图片内容提问：

①“What holiday is it?”

②“When is the holiday?”。 学生看图片说节日，及节日的时间。

（设计意图：通过轻松的谈话和游戏吸引学生的注意力，同时复习已学过的节日名称和时间，自然地引出holiday一词）

二、New Concepts （1）Free talk T: In these holidays, I like Spring Festival, because I can have delicious food. Which holiday do you like? (设计意图：通过学生模仿教师的句型自由谈论自己喜欢的节日，锻炼学生的口头表达能力。) T: In the western country, it has an important holiday in winter, like Chinese Spring Festival .Do you know it? Can you guess? (设计意图：通过谈话，让学生说出圣诞节，引出“Christmas”一词，然后利用课件呈现本课涉及的单词 Christmas tree, lights, Santa,gifts。还可以边学边提出一些问题，What color is the Christmas tree? Do you know about Christmas? Do you like Santa? Can you say something about Santa?

（设计意图：通过实物直接呈现，便于学生清楚地记忆，为下面的学习打下基础。）

（2）Let’s play a game:What’s missing? （3）Learning ①T: Christmas is very special .They often invite their family and friends to their house .The family and friends bring gifts for them. They sing songs (carols) on Christmas. (设计意图:通过教师的简单介绍，引出课文新词special ,invite ,bring ,gifts ,carol.为学生小组学习课文扫除障碍。) ②Reading and answering T: OK, let’s learn the holiday in groups, and try to find the answers to these questions . (出示课件，先让学生通过朗读了解问题的意思，然后以小组的形式学习课文。最后全班交流，解决问题。) （设计意图：通过小组成员之间的交流合作达到锻炼学生口语表达、听说能力、思维的目的，而且了解合作的重要,便于进一步理解课文内容。）
