Step1 Warm up 1.Sentences:What color is it? It’s…
2. Words: Color, red, blue, yellow, green
Use the sentence “What color is it?” appropriately and answer it correctly.
Flashcards of red, blue, yellow, green; red, blue, yellow, green classroom objects or pieces of paper; eight cardboard squares(two red, two blue, two yellow, two green); Blu tack or sticky tape

1. Touch different items in the classroom that are red, saying red
at the same time. Alternatively, hold up the flashcard with the color red. 2. After teacher has done this a couple of times, invites Ss to touch or point to red objectives while saying red. 3. Repeat this activity with blue, yellow and green.
Step2 Vocabulary 1. Have Ss open their books to page 13. Point out the colors in the vocabulary section. 2. Plat the CD a few time and have Ss point to the colors and repeat. 3. Say the colors again in random order and have Ss repeat and point. Step 3 Activity 1
1. Direct Ss’ attention to the four white circles. Ask them to guess what’s missing in each one. 2. Have Ss turn to the back of their books, find the appropriate stickers and stick them in the corresponding places. 3. Point to each sticker and encourage Ss to say the correct color(first in chorus, then individually) 4. Ask Ss(in L1) what they see in the picture(Buzz the bee is in a classroom holding paint brushes.). Tell Ss they’re going to listen to a song. Ask them to guess what it’s going to be about. 5. play the song once and have Ss listen. Play the song a second time and have Ss point to each color as they listen to it. Play the song again if necessary. Step 4 Total physical response activity 1. Divide Ss in four colors groups(red, blue, yellow, green). Give each S one piece of paper or object of his/her group’s color. 2. Play the song again. Invite the Ss of each group to stand up and hold up their piece of paper/object each time their group’s color is heard. 3. The teacher may also includes gestures for I love colors(Ss hold their hands close to their hearts) and How about you?(Ss turn to their partner and hold their hands out). Step 5 Activity 2 1. Direct Ss’
attention to the four paint tubes Buzz is playing with. Point to each one and ask Ss what color is it? 2. Tell Ss that they’ll listen to four similar exchanges and they’ll have to write the number under the corresponding colors. Tell them that the first one has been done for them. 3. Play the first exchange(more than once if necessary) and have Ss point to the correct color(yellow). 4. Have Ss listen to the rest of the exchanges and write the numbers in the boxes of the appropriate pictures. Step 6 Play thief 1. Place the flashcards of the colors on the blackboard and tell Ss to memorize them. 2. Ask Ss to close their eyes and hide one of the flashcards. 以chant的形式再次巩固新知识

When Ss re-open their eyes, they must try to remember which one is missing. 3. Alternatively, Ss can memorize the order of the flashcards. When they close their eyes, change the order. Ss must try to remember what order the flashcards were originally in. 4. To make the game more competitive, the teacher could divide Ss in two teams and have them take turns answering in order to win points. Step 7 Homework 1. Have a S put on a blindfold, give him/her an object and ask What’s this? After s/he answers, ask him/her to do the same with another S. 2.
Divide Ss into pairs. Have Ss play the game, taking turns guessing. Step 7 Homework 1. Find all the classroom objects, say it in English and color them.
