Step 2. Fast reading ：(8 ’) 1.Read the passage as soon as possible and answer the questions. 2.Check the answers and correct the wrong answers. Purpose：

To try to get to know the main ideas of the passage.

Step 3. Careful Re a ding ：(15 ’) 1.Read the passage as carefully as Ss can and pay attention to the structure of the passage. 2.Translatethepassageinto Chinese. 3.Explain the language points in the passage. Purpose：To train Ss’

reading ability and understand the main ideas of the passage better.

Step 4 Do Exercises ：(7 ’) Activity: Complete the small article with the words you have learned in the passage. 这节课是本模块第二课时也就是精读课，

学生要掌握的知识点较多。

总的来说，这节课是比较成功的一节课。

学生预习较好，主体性强，课堂气氛活跃，多媒体课件的运用使学生较清晰地理解并掌握了课文的主旨大意，

但相关知识点的练习题做得较少，今后应注意讲练结合的正确运用。
