My children have learnt the imperatives “ How old are you? I’m..years old.” They can understand the meaning of the Imperatives. .They have been able to use the patterns ‘ Happy birthday ’ to say to others. They can understand the meaning of the Imperatives.

In this period, the students are going to use imperatives to give simple instructions and to use how old- questions to find out someone’s information. By the end of this period, they will be able to learn some tradition of celebrating a birthday. Objectives:

2) Elicit the characters of the story ‘Alice’s birthday party.’

3) Introduce the story background：
