本单元新授词汇为fox, hippo, meat, grass。基于教材内容和学生年龄特点，将本单元的语境创设为谁是森林里最棒的。

二年级学生通过之前的学习，已经能流利说出sheep, wolf, tiger, rabbit, cow, cat, snake，elephant等动物名称词汇和run, swim, swing，也能用I’m a ...，I’m …（加形容词）I can ...，I like ... 等几句语意连贯的话进行表达，他们对本单元的再构文本是有学习基础的。因此第一课时的教学重点为词汇fox, hippo, meat, grass和句型Look at me.的学习，其中教学难点为grass的发音。第二课时的教学重点为句型Look at …

It likes …，其中教学难点为第三人称单数动词加s的语法现象。

学生们热爱英语学习，知识基础良好。在之前的学习中，初步掌握了一些有效的学习方法，如能通过预习了解将要学习的内容，通过运用倾听、模仿等方式进行课堂学习，通过同桌和小组合作等形式互助学习发展语用能力等。恰当运用这些学习方法，将有利于新知学习。
