Procedures Step 1. Pre-reading

T: What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s sunny.

T: Yes. It’s a little hot. But still I am very happy to have English class with you. First, I want to say something about my week. 2.

Introduce: from...to...

T: From Monday to Wednesday, I usually take a dancing class. I mean, I take a dancing class on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. 3.

Introduce: nut

On Thursday, I often go shopping. I like eating nuts very much. So I often buy some nuts. 4.

Introduce: show I often watch TV on the weekend. But this weekend I have a show. Display a picture of TFBOYS to explain the meaning of a show. Then sing an English song to warm up the class.

[设计意图]:通过介绍自己的一周安排，既复习本单元核心词汇，又在谈话间自然呈现故事中的生词，为下面读懂故事扫清障碍。

Step 2. While-reading

Watch a video and think about:

Listen to scene 1 and scene 2 , and then answer the following questions: Q1:What day is it now? Q2:What does Zip do from Monday to Wednesday?

Explain the meaning of “collect nuts” with the help of pictures.

Lead students to find out the first good quality of Zip---hard-working. Teacher acts Zoom. Students act Zip. Read the dialogue. [设计意图]:通过观察图片，帮助学生理解词汇的意义，渗透阅读的技巧。

Listen to scene 3 and then answer:

What does Zip do on Thursday? 5.

Explain the meaning of “dry nuts” with the help of pictures. Lead students to find out the second good quality of Zip---clever. One student acts Zoom. One student acts Zip. Read the dialogue. 6.

Listen to scene 4 and then answer: What does Zip do on Friday? Lead students to find out the third good quality of Zip---being willing to share. Boys act Zoom. Girls act Zip. Read the dialogue. 7.

Listen to scene 5 and scene 6, and then do “Tick or Cross”. Lead students to find out the fourth good quality of Zip---talented. Group A act Zoom. Group B act Zip. Read the dialogue. [设计意图]:通过谈论Zip日常的表现，学生能够归纳出她的四个优秀品质，同时得到情感价值观方面的教育。

Have a dubbing show. Each time ask four students to the front. Two act Zip and two act Zoom. The front student is the performer and the student behind is the dubber.

[设计意图]:以“双簧”的方式进行表演，增加了趣味性，很好的调动学生参与的积极性。

[设计意图]:通过填空的方式讲述故事，有利于学生掌握关键信息，并未下一复述故事环节打下基础。

Retell the story according to the language points on the blackboard.

[设计意图]:根据板书提示，复述故事，锻炼学生的记忆和表达概况能力，也能很好的检查学生是否掌握了故事。

Teaching Reflection:

本课时是一篇故事教学。故事以对话的形式出现，内容是关于Zip的一周生活。我采取听读的方式，听前我通过谈论自己一周的安排逐步呈现故事中的一些生词，如collect, nut, show, from...to...,为下面听读故事扫清障碍。在听读的过程中，我通过设置问题，让学生带着问题听录音，培养学生抓取关键信息的能力。并通过引导，让学生归纳出Zip的一些优良的品质，如hard-working, clever, talented,be willing to share，在交谈中对学生进行情感态度价值观方面的教育。听读后我采取了“说双簧”的表演形式来表演故事，新颖有趣，很好的调动了学生的积极性。接着我设计了填空练习和根据板书提示复述故事的环节，很好的检测了学生对于故事的理解和归纳能力。

本节课不足的地方在于，留给学生读故事的时间不足，读的次数偏少，应该采取交换角色等方式多读，这样学生掌握的会更好，更自信，使下面复述环节开展的更顺利，学生表现的才会更出彩！
