Step 1 Warming-up 1.Greeting 2.Daily Talk show T: First of all, Let’s begin our Daily Talk Show. Can you talk about the students—yourselves. S: I’m …years old/ I like…/I have…

T: Well done! Let’s talk about the teacher—Miss Chen. S: You’re …years old/You like…/You have…/You are busy. T: Oh! You are really good at talking. It’s time for you to talk about the doctors. S: They work in a hospital./They help sick people ./ They are busy. T: Good! You talked a lot about doctors.Today we’ll talk more about seeing the doctors. （

Lead in the title）

（设计意图：利用Daily Talk Show导入，不仅很自然地导入到本单元的话题seeing the doctors，而且能训练孩子们综合运用英语的能力。）

Step 2 Presentation

1.Learning of Part 1 T: Do you know, When the patients see the doctor, they ‘ll get a medical record. Look, this is a medical record. You see, first the doctor will ask you some questions, then give some diagnoses, finally give some advices. T: Look at the blackboard, there are two. Two of our friends are ill. Who are they? Ok, maybe you can watch, and then find. (Ss watch the cartoon and try to find the answer) T：So who are they?? S: They are SuHai and Mike. T: Yes! They are SuHai and Mike. T: Look, this is Suhai’s medical record ,but you can’t see it now. Today, Miss Chen wants you to listen ,read and guess, then learn to be a doctor. T: First, How does the doctor ask SuHai? Let’s listen! (设计意图:学生通过听录音,不仅提升了其对文本的理解能力,而且也提高了其听力能力) S: What’s wrong with you? T: Ok! What other sentences can the doctor ask? S: What’s the matter with SuHai? T: Good job! So What’s wrong with SuHai? Please listen and try to remember” What do SuHai and the doctor say?”

(Ss listen to the tape) T: What does SuHai say ? S:I have a headache.I feel cold. T: What about the doctor? S: Let me check. You have a fever. (learn the new words “check”) T: So she has a headache and a fever. T: If you are the doctor, what will you say to SuHai ? You can use the sentences like this“You can…, Don’t…”

T: Good suggestions! What about the doctor’s ? What should SuHai do? Now read

Page36,and underline the key points. (Ss read the dialogue and underline ) T: Ok, Let’s check the answers. What should she do? S: She should have a rest ,take some medicine and drink some warm water.

T: Great !You can see SuHai’s medical record now. So the doctor asks: S: What’s wrong with you? T :And the doctor’s diagnoses? S: She has a headache and a fever. T: What’s the advice? Let’s read loudly for SuHai, let her remember and we hope she will be better soon!

2.Learning of Part 2 T: Excellent. Now you know how to be a doctor. This time ,you are the doctor .Can you help Mike ?Look at Mike’s medical record ,it is not finished, Please read Page 37,try to finish the card, if you see the new words, please circle them and try to guess the meaning. (Ss read the dialogue on Page 37 by themselves, and try to fill in Mike’s medical record) T: Ok. Time’s up. Let’s check the answer! First, How does the doctor ask ? S: What’s wrong with you? T: What’s wrong with Mike? S: He has a toothache. (learn the new word “toothache”) T: So he should go to see ____.A: doctor B: dentist S:B dentist (learn the new word “dentist”) T: Do you know, why does Mike have a toothache?

S1: Maybe he eats many sweets. S2:He just brush his toothache once a day, I think.

T: How many times should Mike brush his teeth every day? S: Two. T: How do you know that? S: You should brush your teeth in the morning and before bedtime. T: Well done! What’s the doctor’s advice? S1:You shouldn’t eat too many sweets. S2:You should brush your teeth your teeth in the morning and before bedtime. （设计意图：通过利用前一部分教师带着学的方法，让学生自学完成第二部分——麦克的医疗卡，从而激发学生自主学习的兴趣，增强学生自学的信心，养成良好的英语学习习惯。）

Practice and consolidation 1．

T: Wonderful! Mike’s medical record is finished. I think you are good doctors. You helped SuHai and Mike just now, but there are many sick people around us. Can you help them. Let’s act the dialogue “ the doctor and the patients”（Ss prepare to act the dialogue）

T: Well. It’s time for you to show it now! (设计意图:通过创设医生给病人看病的情景，让学生用本单元的重点句型进行操练,让学生善于表达,乐于表达,做到学以致用) 2. T: Thank you for your wonderful performance. So many people are sick in our daily life. Today we learnt how to see the doctor, but Miss Chen thinks, It’s important for us to keep healthy ,But how to be? T: Let’s enjoy some pictures first. T:

What’s your advice? Can you finish the Health Card. T: Work in groups. First think, then write your ideas down., next share your ideas in groups, finally say them in the class.
