一、教学目标：

1.知识目标：熟练掌握单词和词组：January February first second New Year’s Day Spring Festival 句型：January is the first month of the year. February is the second month of the year. 2.能力目标：能够简单表达1，2 月的常见活动和节日。了解中国传统节日的习俗。

3.情感目标：培养学生的合作交流能力。引导学生热爱中国的传统习俗…… 二、学情分析

对于六年级学生来说，本课教学内容以体验、理解、表达为最终目标，因此学生学起来有一定的难度。但是，本课话题是谈论元旦和春节的节日生活，学生比较熟悉且有兴趣，有助于学生联系实际理解课文。所以，教师应在课堂上设计丰富多彩的情境，培养学生的语言交际能力。

三、重难点：

1.January, February两个月份的表达，以及序数词的理解与运用；

2.有关一月、二月的活动的节日以及在每个节日人们的活动的英文表达。

四、教学过程：

（一、）Warm-up：激发兴趣，导入新课

1.课前播放年的由来，让学生认识“year”. 2.展示本课教学目标，明确学习内容。

3.播放月份歌曲。教师与学生一起说唱。

4. Free talk ：

-How many months are there in a year? -There are twelve months of the year. 5.Watch a video about New Year’s Day. （二、）Presentation and practice：精讲点拨，趣味操练

1.Watch the video about January and New Year’s Day. Try to answer: When is New Year’s Day? 2. Introduce “Year”, say “hello” to “Year”. 3. Learn month and festival . January is the first month of the year. New Year’s Day is on Jan. 1st. 4. Chant (January) 对对碰 5. Read the first paragraph and try to answer: What do people do on New Year’s Day. Look at the mind map on the blackboard. 6. Think about: what else do people do? 7. Watch a video and learn Spring Festival.
