Teaching procedures

Step 1: Greet and lead-in. Greeting as usual. Sing the song Day of the Week together to lead in . Step 2: Divide us into different groups.

Use the names of days of the week to name the different groups. Step 3: Competition. Before the class, there are some word cards from Sunday to Saturday stuck on the blackboard out of order. T asks some pairs to come in front. When T say a word, they must catch the word card quickly and give it to the T. Who can get it, he or she will get one point. Step 4: Learn something new and introduce the story about Zip. Suppose the teacher is the squirrel named Zip, tell students something about his story. Learn some new words and phrases by doing some actions at the same time. Step 5: Read the story. Ask students to read the story aloud after the teacher. Step 6: Enjoy the video.

Let students watch the flash and practice with their partners. Then act it out in roles. Step 7: Show time. Ask two students to act the dialog and some students to do

the actions at the same time. There are two pairs to show it for the class. Step 8: Summary. Play a guessing game to summarize the phrases learned in this class. Step 9: Check the results. Which group is the winner? Step 10: Homework.
