一
、教学目标:Teaching aims
1 知识目标:
使学生四会有关圣诞节的单词: Christmas , Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Santa,holiday, bring,give,invite,songs 2能力目标:
(1)能熟读并理解课文内容,了解中西文化差异,了解圣诞节以及在圣诞节时有哪些活动
(2)能根据所学的词汇和句子,简单介绍圣诞节,能听懂一些对圣诞节的描述。
3情感目标:
使学生了解有关西方国家最盛大的节日---- 圣诞节,培养学生的跨文化意识和学习英语的兴趣。。

、教学重点:Key points 掌握四会单词Christmas , Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Santa,holiday, bring,give,invite,songs 三、教学难点:Difficult points 运用所学的单词描述圣诞节,并能听懂一些对圣诞节的描述。

Step1:Class opening 1.Greetings T:Hello! Boys and girls. Nice to see you ! Are you ready for our class?
I’m from Chencanglu primary school. You can call me Miss Qin. Today I’m happy to be here and have an English class for you. Are you happy? T:Very good! Today we invite
many teachers to our school,You should try your best to learn it. beacuse today I bring many gifts,
“gift” do you know? if you can listen carefully and answer my questions,I will give you the gift. T:Who can tell me How many students are there in your class?(生回答)

(设计意图:轻松愉快的课前谈话,使学生进入英语课堂情境,问题的思考刺激学生的思维,使学生初步养成认真倾听,认真思考作答的习惯。课前介绍以及物质“引诱”渗透本课单词“invite、bring、gift为下面的教学做好铺垫,另外激发学生学习的积极性)
Step2: lead-in T:Today, we will learn Lesson19: Christmas is coming. Do you Know Christmas? (学生回答:……)I think after class, you will know Christmas and you can describe Christmas in English to your friends and family. (设计意图:以旧引新,让学生轻松感知单词“holiday”的意思)
Step3:New concept
一、教授单词Christmas ,christmas tree ,lights ,santa ,holiday T: Ok, I will show some pictures about Christmas. Let’s see together!
1.课件播放圣诞节的画面,让学生身临其境去感受。
(设计意图:用形象生动的视听画面,使学生感知圣诞节浓浓的节日气氛,增强学生对圣诞节的理解,激发学生学习的兴趣)
2.Ask questions:

(学习方式:各组比赛读课文,利用“智慧课堂打分器”为其打分)

4、Retell the text(给出框架,复述课文)

(设计意图:使学生对本课的学习内化掌握,对所学知识学以致用,发挥语言的工具性特点)
Step4. Have a quize(课堂检测) (方法:利用“智慧课堂”习题检测软件,测试学生对于本课语法点及难点句型的掌握情况)
Step5:Do a self-assessment(自我评价) (方法:利用“智慧课堂”软件,为自己打分,评价自己本节课的学习效果)
四、Homework Draw a picture about the Christmas. You can draw a Christmas tree, Christmas lights, Santa, the gifts or the people singing carols. Then write a sentence for your picture.bring your picture next class. We’ll talk about them. OK?
(设计意图:以学生喜闻乐见的类似办“手抄报”的方式布置作业,使英语学科和美术学科整合在一起,增强学生的审美情趣,更重要的是学生在图文并茂的绘画过程中,理解和巩固了本课的知识)
