Teaching Aims: 1. To learn the new words or phrases about travel: sea, ski,eat seafood, visit the Mogao Caves,West Lake,row a boat,the Great Wall, take photos…

2. To express the things we can do at the places of interest.

3. To learn more about life and enjoy life.

Key Points and Difficult Points: 1. The new words and phrases.

2. To express the places you want to visit, and things you can do there. Teaching Methods: Task-based methods, group-work.

Teaching Aids: PPT, photos.

Teaching Process:

Step I Warming-up T: Good morning everyone! Ready for class? Ss: Good morning,Cici . We’re ready! Divide Ss into seven groups,each team has a box. Team leaders can put a candy in it when T says good to their team members.

Step II Leading-in T: First one, let’s enjoy the video. OK? (A video about some places of interest) Ss: OK! T: What can you see in the video? (Have the Ss say out the beautiful places. They can speak in Chinese.)Yes,they’re beautiful places in China.Do you want to go? Today,we’re going to talk about our travel plans. Step III Presentation A)1. The first one is the Great Wall.

( Pictures) Present the word “the Great Wall ” (W+all)

(Picture,take photos) Ask and answer, and put the word card on the board. -- What is it?

-- What can we do here? Have Ss to tell the right place on the map,and put the picture on it. 2.Now let’s come to another beautiful place. Look! What can you see? (a picture) Present the word “Sanya”

and teach. What can we do here?

(Pictures) swim, eat seafood,walk in the sand,pick up shells.(Present the phrases on board)

Ask and answer, and put the word cards on board.

--Where is it?

--What can we do here? Have Ss to tell the right place on the map,and put the picture on it. 3. Next one. It’s a lake, it’s a famous lake in Hangzhou. Where is it?

(A picture) Present “ West Lake” and teach.

(Pictures) They are sports programmes. (Present the phrase on board) Then ask and answer, and put the word cards on board.

Have Ss to tell the right place on the map,and put the picture on it. 4. Now, let’s go to anther place. Look! Where is it? It’s very cold here.

(A picture) Present “Harbin” and teach. Har +bin -----Harbin

(Pictures) make a snowman, ski, throw snowballs (Present the phrase on board)

Then ask and answer, and put the word cards on board. Have Ss to tell the right place on the map,and put the picture on it. 5. The last place we go is… Do you know this place? (A picture) Present

“ the Mogao Caves” and teach .

(A picture) enjoy the wall paintings (Present the phrase on board)

Then ask and answer, and put the word card on board.

Have Ss to tell the right place on the map,and put the picture on it. Step III Sentence presentation.

We’ve introduced these places of interest. (Point and have the Ss read out.) They are very beautiful. Do you wan to go? Where do you want to go? ( Present the sentence on board. )

We have places of interest in China, also we have places of interest in other countries. Look! (Present the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty, Big Ben,Mount.Fuji…) Now,let’s make our travel plans. (Show the dialogue on the board to Ss) Ss work in seven groups(music). And make their plans in their groups. Then show it.

Step V Conclusion

Thank you for your wonderful plans. As we know, our world is beautiful. Please try to look after it and love it! So much for today!See you next time.

Teaching Reflection:

1. 本堂课基本完成了教学目标,学生认识了新单词或词组,能用已有旧知融入到课堂,表达自己想去的风景名胜,怎么去该地以及去该地想做些什么。课程设计环环相扣,过渡语比较自然。在单词比较难的情况下让学生掌握比较好,结合生活实际说说自己的旅游计划,最后的汇报以表演形式产出,学生的运用自然流畅。

课外景点的铺垫不够,可以引导学生谈谈自己所了解的景点,然后再加以补充。

3. 追问的形式结合学生生活实际,但是追问得还不够深,可以更多地挖掘,让学生充分运用语言。
