基于《上海市中小学英语课程标准》(2004版)和《上海市小学英语学科教学基本要求》,结合本单元的教学内容,将单元主题定为Picnic。两个课时的话题分别设定为:Period 1: Getting ready for the picnic
Period 2: Having a picnic。
本单元中出现的核心词汇有食品类名词和形容词。其中食品类名词sweet,coffee形容词sweet在以前教材的各类板块中出现过。lemon, salt, sour, salty, bitter是首次出现。
第一课时中,Kitty和Ben为野餐做准备,在超市购买水果和饮料,购物之后,在家制作野餐主食,初步感知sweet, lemon, sour, coffee, salt,What is it? Is it…?Taste… How does it taste? It’s…这些核心词汇和核心句型。第二课时中,Kitty一家和Alice一家一起去野餐,熟练运用核心词汇和核心句型,并拓展学习句型:You can have more.和You can’t have more.来建议健康饮食。
【单元教学目标】
1. 能正确识读拼写生词sweet, lemon, salt, coffee, sour, salty和bitter。
2. 能够在语境中运用祈使句型,如:Taste…. Smell…..做出简单指令。
3. 能在语境中正确使用特殊疑问句询问食物的气味和味道,如:How does it smell/taste? How do they smell/ taste?并作相应的回答:It’s/ They’re…。
4. 通过图片的解读和儿歌的朗读,知道字母组合wh的
/w/ 发音。
5. 通过共享食物的情境,感受分享的快乐,初步体会健康饮食的重要性。

Period 1 It is spring now. It is warm. Kitty and Alice want to have a picnic .Kitty and her brother Ben go to the supermarket to buy some picnic food.They want to buy some fruits for salad and some bread for hamburger.
Shop assistant 1:
Can I help you? Kitty: May I have some apples? Shop assistant 1: Taste this apple, please. How does it taste? Kitty:
It’s sweet.
Kitty:
What is it? Is it a small orange? Shop assistant 1: No, it’s a lemon. Taste it. How does it taste ?
Kitty: Oh, it’s very sour. I don’t like them. Give me six apples. How much are they?
Shop assistant 1: Ten yuan. Kitty: Here you are.
Shop assistant 1: Thanks.

May I have some bread? Shop assistant 2:

Tom: I have nice chips. Try them, Ben. Ben: Thanks. Tom: How do they taste? Ben: They are salty and yummy. I like them. Tom’s father: They are not good for you. You can’t have more.
Tom and Ben: OK.
Kitty: Look at my salad. Smell it. How does it smell? Alice: Oh, it’s good.
Kitty: Taste it, please. Alice: Wow, nice! Ben: Yummy! Tom: Very good! I like it! Kitty’s mother: Fruits are good. You can have more.
The children: All right.
Kitty:Let’s play a guessing game.
Three children: Hurray! Ben: Close your eyes. Smell it. How does it smell? Alice: It’s nice.
